Sean Taylor and Roy Williams is what you would be getting...ORRRRRR Brandon Merritweather and Reggie Nelson could be Ed Reed.

Because Wilson is in the final year of his contract, Harrison is old and fragile, and Sanders is merely adequate. And also because Asante will get quite a bit of guaranteed money as well, but for just a single truly excellent season...I've seen this posted a few times.. Why do people want to trade an established CB for a Safety?

Troll?
BTW, Washington was willing to send #6 to Chicago for Briggs and #31. Asante and #28 for #6 seems plausible in that light. If you stop and think about it first, that is...

Springs is in the middle of a contract dispute. Rogers slumped. And here's a neat quote for you to consider, "Last year, we felt we got hurt with our depth at corner," Gibbs said. "You don't want to make the same mistake twice."you realize skins have: Springs, Smoot, Rogers
its already a highly paid group of DBs with Taylor aswell
I only suggested the Redskins because of the parallel between Asante+28 and Briggs+31.How bout to Minnesota? They can stop the run but not the pass

I think they're happy enough with Tavaris Jackson, they aren't going to rush into another QB just yet.Minnesota needs a QB badly

Asante is hardly a star cornerback. The guy had one good season. If the Pats were willing to part ways with Ty Law, then parting ways with Asante shouldn't be a problem. You don't trade Star Corner Backs for draft picks, especially picks that are going to cost you almost as much as the player.. Their is no value.
Hobbs, Gay, Asante, Scott. Premium players? C'mon...Second, Corners in the NFL are a premium, Safeties are not..
The draft is about team building. Free agency is about plugging holes. I think you got that mixed up.Lets worry about this year.
My point exactly.Right now, We have Wilson and Harrison. We could use one of our #1 picks on a safety.. A draft that is deep in them.
