My gut reaction is that anyone who goes to the lengths this author did to debunk another's opinion is dealing with a guilty conscience.

What about the hit that Gronk got injured on last year? Basically the exact same thing. A hard hitting safety having a kill shot opportunity. He was throwing Collie into triple coverage with the safety very clearly closing in for the kill shot. He had to have known that Collie was going to get lit up and threw it anyway. How many times have you seen Brady throw a ball like that? Please name the instances.

Sure Peyton has put balls in bad places so the receiver gets lit up. But so has Brady a bunch of times. Obviously Peytons track record isn't great here, and I do think that he is worse than some other top QBs when it comes to keeping receivers safe. But he is far from the only top QB that throws these balls from time to time.

the scary thing is, that was a pretty routine hit in the NFL...as a slot receiver in the NFL you HAVE to imagine Welker is going to take 1 or more hits like the one he took in that pre-season game over the course of the season...hes pretty much guaranteed a 4th concussion IMO..
he's one hit away of being put out of comission. I understand that he wants to play because he loves the game and wants his 6million$ but at some point he needs to think about his health.
It's still three concussions in the last 10 games. Absolutely nothing good about that, no matter how anyone puts it.
The problem with this argument is that he probably wouldn't have had multiple concussions last year if he had stayed in New England. If Brady feels he has no choice but to throw into a situation like that, he'll often throw the ball in such a way as to try and draw the receiver away from a brutal hit (e.g., near the ground a couple feet away).
I hope Welker has been evaluated by third party neurologists and not some team yes man. Here is the onion take on the Welker situation:

Welker had concussions with the Pats before the concussion protocols were in place. It is the way Welker plays. But Manning has a long history of ruining slot receivers and TEs by hanging them out to dry.
Do you think? I guess Brady "ruined" Amendola and Gronkowski huh?
You guys and your manning obsession kill me. "Satan Manning"? Grown men think calling Peyton Manning "Satan Manning" is funny? Or cool? Or clever? Honestly not sure why anyone would do that but these boards are full of Pats fans doing it.
Welker had concussions before he went to Denver. The older you get and the more concussions you've had make you more likely to get them in the future. Welker has been playing for a long time.
It's just laughable how you guys blame everything you possibly can on Manning. We get it. pats fans don't like Manning. But grow up.
Amendola tore his groin. That has nothing to do with any of this.
And if it was just Welker, I would agree with you. Welker got lit up a few times here, it happens. But at a certain point it becomes a track record, and in Manning's case that's simply what it is. Collie, Clark, now Welker 3 times in less than a year. It is what it is. Doesn't mean that Manning isn't a great QB. He is one of the best of all time. Just means that he hangs his receivers out to dry more than you'd like to see.
Peyton's track record is much worse. And you simply can't fault Brady for Ward going low on Gronk. Peyton's track record has the following receivers' careers cut short because of him throwing them into harm's way: Collie, Clark, Gonzalez, and now possibly Welker. I can't think of one WR who has had his career cut short because of Brady throwing him into harm's way. That you had to stretch with Gronk pretty much says it all.
