**** just got real

I wonder if Papa John's will do poor business this weekend because of their pitchman.

By the way, I got a free sausage pizza from Papa John's last year (first time from them). It sucked.

That is awesome...well done by whatever marketing genius came up with it.

Brilliant. Count me in. my gametime menu just got easier.

I tried to order from Papa John's, but it was just too damned frustrating. The call kept dropping out after just one ring.......

Wow, bulletin board material right there. Really dumb mistake. Papa John's is going to be pumped for a big sales weekend. This marketer is probably going to have to sit out the first half of his shift for this one.

Awesome ad but I'd rather pay $12 per pizza.

The pizza does suck.

The pizza does suck.

We've had to settle for Dominos at Chez Gwedd. I like the local pizzeria but they don't take plastic online and I'm usually sans sufficient cash on hand to order from them. Pizza Hut and Papa Johns both suck. No consistency except for inconsistent production, especially over-baking.

Musta been Rocky Mountain oysters instead of sausages.

It is bad. I actually live just up the street from a little pizzeria where the guy made it his dream. Nothing fancy, family like place and hires teens that need help and jobs. Some of the best pizza ever and does it for a great cause. And they make it right when you order, really good stuff.

Just can't beat those kind of places.

As far as the chains go I personally think Pizza Hut is the best, but generally we order from our local place (Tolli's) and avoid the chains all together. I must admit that I probably haven't had Papa Gino's in 20 years, so they may have improved.

I've ordered from Papa John's for years and it has nothing to do with whose pitching their Pizza. I often get emails for 50% off any pizza. However, Dominos is pretty good too, so I order from there sometimes as well. It's a toss up since they both make great pizzas. I go with whoever is running the best special at the moment. Never heard of Papaginos.

Yup. We have a local place like that. Two, actually. The Cabin makes this wonderful white pizza. Marios, however, has a pretty good pizza, but their meatball sub is amazing. I can never finish one and end up taking half home for later. :)

Caserta's is worth the 60 minute round trip to Providence for me

I'd be fine with just a pie with their sauce, though typical go cheese, olives and pepperoni

But the real treat is the Wimpy Skippy

Lately I've been making my own Cast Iron Deep Dish Pan Pizza, sometimes right in my wood stove.

Something about having the cheese at the bottom and the sauce on top changes the dynamic more than you'd think. There's also room for multiple meat and veggie levels - so much so my kids call it "Pizzagna"

Domino's is horrible. They used to be horrible then they started advertising their new better crust, sauce etc, so my wife wanted to try them again. Everyone agreed, they still suck.

Anyone in the Boston area that orders from a chain should be hit with a wet noodle. I do think Papa Ginos is by far the best chain, but in an area where you can get real pizza, why go chain?

Having lived down south for a long time, Papa Gino's is better than most places outside NY-New England area.

I wouldn't feed Papa John's to the dog.

nothing beats a good woodfired pizza, but when i go chain i got Papa-G

I would love to order this. Why am I not in NE?!

Gwedd, great news! There's this marvelous new invention called an ATM! There may even be one in Bath, Maine! :D
