Corey has been great for the Pats and I just love it when drops his shoulder and creams a would be tackler. I wish he'd renegotiate and stay here as a short yardage/TD specialist.
Instead, it seems he's listening to another whack job agent who's whsipering to Corey about all that extra cap space floating around the NFL this offseason and how so many teams yearn for a true power back to carry the load. That his agent is dellusional is hardly a surprise, greed infects the brain of nearly every one, but Corey has to be drinking some of his own 100 proof Kool-Aid to believe he's still got the juice to be a feature back. Ego truly is an all powerful force for some people.
Dillon cannot 'turn the corner' anymore at all, so he's limited to running up the middle which he still does at an acceptable level when he's sitting out every other play. Anyone watching the Pats this year saw Dillon wave at the sideline for a breather after almost every time he handled the ball - if Corey had been just a bit tougher (or one might even say, a bit more dedicated) he'd have had his 15 carries a game.
Corey's dreaming, in complete la-la land, if he has himself believing he's bound for a $5mil bonus on two years and a promise to be the workhorse, he just doesn't have the ability anymore. Of course, Al Davis has two houses in La-La Land...
