Again, are you going to sit Hightower, or Mayo? Have you heard that the team is going back to the 3-4?

I hope that this move was made with an eye toward running a lot of hybrid fronts and frequently playing Mayo at mike and either sitting Spikes or letting him leave in FA.

From that perspective, I guess a need was addressed, although who knows if it'll actually be fixed. Not thrilled about the pick, but I don't totally hate it.

While Dobson is big and reasonably fast (4.55), he is not a huge YPC guy. 15.7, 13.6, 11.9 in 2010-12 with Marshall.

Well, I was hoping for a Boldin-sized receiver. There you go. So far so good. Thank you Vikings for the extra picks!

Fans get their big receiver. Now get Wheaton/Patton/Swope.
A double dip with any one of those 3 manx and I would consider this draft a raging success.

I'm calling it now y'all - Matt Barkley will be our 91st pick. This guy sitting behind Brady will be a force in a few years time.

I love that freakin pick ... cant go wrong with Marshall

Hell yeah, I actually like Dobson. That pick makes up for at least some of the crapfest up to this point.

How would you have reacted if they took Dobson at #29?

LOVE the Dobson pick, that one guy here who claimed the Pats loved Dobson, kudos ! 6'3" 205 ran a 4.42 and 4.44 at his Pro Day, this kid has GREAT hands, and runs sharp routes. Hopefully Da'Rick Rogers or Ryan Swope (a guy I hear the Pats LOVE) with one of the 3rd round picks.

Pro Day in the snow, caught everything.

No, just no.

Noodle arm would not be a good selection at all.

Well we now know that BB/Caserio had Dobson rated about Wheaton or Allen.

Barkley is a spud. I want no part of him.

If that where to happen it would be my favorite ever Pats pick. Seriously, I love that kid.

Lindy's Sport ranks Dobson with the best hands in the draft. Looking at his highlight reel, he brings some spectacular catching ability.

The Pats' offense was by FAR the best in the league last year. They were 4.5 points per game better than the #2 offense (Denver). Their problem was defense - specifically, pass defense. And even more specifically, the pass rush.

They just added a dynamic edge rusher. You'd think that would normally make us fans happy.

Welker and Lloyd are gone. Amendola is often hurt. Against the Ravens, they scored 14 points. At home.

Dobson=nice

Tyrann Mathieu and Barkley in the 3rd. That bold enough for ya?

Dobson - More upside than Allen, I guess. I still like. Big and Fast. So far I'm lovin that trade yesterday. We have drafted Round appropriate players. Please no Tavon Wilson reaches. One of Franklin, Allen, or A & M Moore would make a nice round 3. I don't think we will get any, should be long gone.
