maybe its a strain ACL, not a complete tear. I don't see someone walking off the field with a COMPLETE tear.
actually, the problem is that Caldwell and Gaffney are in the last year of our contracts. Next season, the only guy under contract I think will be Kevin Kight... Signing somebody in FA or drafting is a necessity, all the more so if our #1 prospect at WR is hurt.
You know, now that you mention it it occurs to me that both times I tore my ACL at the same time I suffered a bilateral meniscus tear. Maybe a lot the pain was from that.Interesting that you should say that. I've never done the ACL but I've been with a lot of people who have, unfortunately. I can remember them saying that it was a lot less painful than you would imagine, but that the "pop" left no room for doubt. I remember one guy sitting in the back of the bus after being strapped up in the hospital and chatting away on his mobile to his clients. But perhaps he was just a lot braver than I would be in the same circumstances.
I imagine that competent physios can diagnose a torn ACL in about five seconds flat and that they wouldn't allow a player to sit around afterwards: it would, at the very least, be immediate full ice-packs and (if necessary) surgery soon after.
If Steve Nelson from WEEI saw him getting it wrapped, a member of our media knew he was hurt, and Scott Wright the draftnick says someone extremely close to the situation told him that the test came back bad....
I think it is safe to say from 3 sources that CJ is hurt, and the only question is the extent of the injury.
I believe they are both signed for next year on 2 year contracts.
Do they use the same test for am ACL as they do for an achilles?
Either one takes the same recovery time?
The worst for me is when people don't you periods or commas and their post is just one long sentence. When I'm done reading it I feel like I'm out of breath and I can't remember what they were saying in the first place.
that's the same thing I said. This time next year, Caldwell and Gaffney are FA. They are signed this year. Next year, they won't be.
Nelson said he saw the knee getting wrapped up.
Guys tweak knees all the time, get wrapped, iced.
I know it's off season, but if this draft board guy has a great source, knows he's missing the whole season, but doesn't even know what part of the body the injury's on, that's just bull****.
Does anyone really think that a player who could barely get on the field last season is going to be the reason the Patriots don't make next year successful? If not, let's not worry about whether Jackson had a hangnail or a leg severed at the knee. This team would dig up a corpse if that's what it took to find an acceptable replacement, so why not consider this a non-story until something concrete is learned and let the ferrets go do their jobs?
God I sure hope not I love Chad Jackson's potential I predicted we'd trade back up and nab him ever since I read he was writing plays down that BB gave him to memorize. My thought is this it's not fair damn't when people said he didn't grasp the playbook then how in the hell did he write the plays back on the board for BB. Everyone said he had a hurt hamstring we were being cautious then he's out on the kicking team and get's hurt god would it of killed us to send him on 10 deep routes in that colts game he had amazing hands in the combine big play capability in school. Why are we cursed at wideout since we traded deon and lost Givens I mean we lost fryar in the past Terry glenn cause he had sand in his vagina. I just want a deep threat that brady can throw too shoot give me Chris Chambers who i wanted to draft but everybody said no he's just another tony simmons. O god I hope he can participate in training camp and if he can't screw early round wide reciever were snake bitten in the early rounds. If were not gonna give the house for johnson i don't wanna see reciever in untill the third round unless Meachem or Stuckey is there looking at us.
GET WELL CHAD
YOU HAVE RECORDS TO BREAK AND THE HALL OF FAME TO BE ENSHRINED!
Ray, if three people say CJ is injured, I'm willing to bet, he's injured.
