Ravens lose!!

re: Ravens lose!!

big assumption there. They'll be motivated after the beat down in Foxboro.

I like the confidence! I agree that Houston losing a 3rd game is unlikely. But I also expect that if the Pats beat Houston tomorrow, the Pats won't lose any of their remaining games.

re: Ravens lose!!

still see broncos getting #2...they have cake walk...we have two TOUGH games...

re: Ravens lose!!

Its interesting watching some of the fast starters fade this season - in both the AFC and NFC.

Even though they have been sneaking games, the Texans, Falcons, Bears and Ravens have been struggling down the stretch.

I'lll be real interested to see how Houston handles the pressure tomorrow night - they've had many seasons of playing second fiddle to Peyton and the Colts and choking on the few occasions they did have to overtake them.

At this stage of the year the pressure really ramps up.

Ravens probably beat them in Baltimore. They need the game more than Denver does.

If houston wins a grind it out game..they are the team to beat in the NFL. No matter how they win..if they do they are clear #1 and if we lose tomorrow night..bye is 90% out the window

They go to Bmore, we are home. And we are substantially better too.

re: Ravens lose!!

Way to talk down the Patriots chicken littles.

re: Ravens lose!!

Never really thought the Ravens were realistically in the race. I have been saying for a while now that the byes are a three way race between the Pats, Texans, and Broncos.

I don't think the Pats have as tough of a stretch as people think. The Texans and 49ers have both been trending down lately. The Texans really haven't beaten anyone since the first half of the season either. They are definitely not cakewalks, but I don't think either are nearly as tough a challenge as we thought a month ago.

I think the Texans could be the odd team out. They have the Pats and Colts twice. I can see two losses for them with their defense struggling.

If the Pats win tomorrow night, they will have the head to head and three way tie sewn up with both the Texans and Broncos. They will have beaten both team and since all three teams played each other the tiebreaker in a three way tie would be records against each other. The Pats would be 2-0 and the Texans are 1-1 and the Broncos are 0-2.

A win tomorrow would be just superb.

re: Ravens lose!!

One game at a time guys,,,lets take care of Houston tomorrow first and lets see how we stand before Miami's game to start making these predictions. GO PATS.

We are just fans tho. As long as the team is taking it one game at a time we should be okay.

re: Ravens lose!!

Way to go with the positive language in the thread title!

FYI losing to other excellent teams like SF or Houston is not 'effing it up' - The Bronco's have a cakewalk finish - i'd make them favorite for the #2 seed right now.

I'm not concerned either way

Look at the recent Super Bowl winners and research how many of them had the bye - and you'll see how much of a correlation there is between having the bye and winning the Super Bowl.

Its about 50-50 isnt it? I looked it up a while ago so my memory might be fuzzy, still would rather get the bye and get some guys healthy.

re: Ravens lose!!

1st round bye would be nice, but it would be even more nice if we didn't have to go to Houston in the championship game!

If it is 50-50 that means you have a better chance at winning the superbowl if you have a bye. there's 4 teams with byes. there's 8 teams without byes

re: Ravens lose!!

Definitely need to win out. And also hope for a Broncos loss to the Ravens and/or a Texans loss to the Colts in one of the two. But as said, ONE GAME AT A TIME.

I agree, I just threw those numbers out there, Im too lazy to look it up and I dont care I want the bye regardless and home games

re: Ravens lose!!

I agree.

The 2nd best scenario is we lose once and finish 12-4, but still get at least the #2 seed. It's hard to imagine Houston losing 3 out of 4 games. But if Baltimore beats Denver and then loses to either the Giants or Cincy, 12-4 would give us the edge over both teams.

So...there could be a scenario were we may have to root for the Giants to beat the Ravens? I will be drinking heavily for that game if that scenario has to occur.

Edited thread title.

We need to keep our thread titles to at least a 6th grade level.:D
