Saw a savvy tweet today. Said a good rule of thumb is to never worry about a guy who owns his own jet. He's had a wonderful road comparatively speaking. Also had a heartbreaking loss last year, but lots of folks have suffered similar losses if not worse - and with a lot less support than Robert has had. He will be fine. And he wasn't being himself as he chooses to be known to us, he was about as out of character as we've ever seen him. This isn't about having a gal pal a little soon (by his own religion's tenets as explained to me today by a jewish friend) let alone one less than half his age. Whatever. This was about doing something (filming that script with the offensive lines) and not thinking through the embarassment were it to somehow go public as most things on film do nowadays.

He apologized so his employees and associates among others would know he's not a hypocrit. He demands a lot from them and they almost universally do their damndest to deliver. He'd like that to continue.

I didn't want to leave a negative post you can't answer and not resound to, I removed respect, lol, the rest of the post ok.

He never should have to apologize to anyone. Im worried about that. How do you earn that ? Krafts a man that lost the one person he lived for, loved, his soul mate. Its not tragic, its horrible. A constant nightmare with out her. If you don't believe that you have never been in love.

It's Pherein I'm talking TO, not about Sal.The last time I checked this a football FAN site for not only Pats fans but good fans of football teams throughout the country.I could care less about punctuation and spelling errors EXCEPT when the person doing it is easily THE most pompous, arrogant ,insulting know-it-all who constantly demeans and degrades anybody who questions HIS football "business" figures.Myself, I run my own business, owner/operator. I come here to get Patriot information, talk up players, strategy, goof off with other fans and generally enjoy what it is to be a Patriots fan. The business side of NFL football is the LAST thing that interests me. I worry about my finances, they can deal with THEIR finances as they see fit. At the end of the day , how much or how little I know about what Welker may or may not get is of no REAL interest or concern. Some fans are deeply wrapped up in this stuff. THAT is perfectly fine by me, but when some condescending jerk starts telling me or anybody what is allowed and how to properly interact, according to HIS narrow, anal standards, and THAT person displays his unconscious stupidity, I WILL respond.

Sorry I missed your post, BradyFTW.
I have no idea how it feels to lose a spouse - but to do so and talk about it, publicize it, and use it as a rallying cry as the Patriots did last year made me believe in the greatness of Myra Kraft (did not know much about her until she passed) and the depth of Bob and Myra's relationship. I guess I figured it would take years to move past that before one starts getting involved with a model less than half his age and weight. At the same time, the man is not in his 30's or 40's and has the right to enjoy his life, and maybe Landers is truly just a "friend" and certainly has not replaced Myra in Bob's heart - I get that.
I used to have an MHK badge too…and still kept one on the background of my office computer because I liked the pic with the team pointing to the sky. But I find myself thinking less of the emblem since Kraft made his new relationship public. Those are just my feelings on the issue that I am sure many on the board may disagree with.

I guess I am not one to frequent the pages of TMZ and the like, so this girlfriend development is news to me. I am really unsure what to think. Here's my initial thoughts.

a) Myra is gone. Is he supposed to be alone for the rest of his life? I don't know what the religious tenets say as MoLewisRocks touched on, but if it's a problem for his church and his spiritual life, that's his business.
b) I do find it a bit inappropriate, as I do many May/December relationships, especially when the December party is a wealthy individual who is very well connected. Is this young lady interested in RK or what RK can do for her? Either way, it's their business.
c) Like it or not, the Pats are a premier franchise in the NFL, and Kraft is a leader in NFL circles. He's chosen to be in the spotlight to a certain extent, instead of being a bit more behind the scenes. This brings him additional publicity, and sometimes it's unwanted. It comes with the territory IMO. He can either try to live his life, or he can become a hermit. Either way, his choice, his business.
d) Do we even know for sure what the nature of the relationship is?
e) Nut up or move on...very funny line.

Actually, that makes some sense, at least. I doubt he wants to replace Myra. But people are talking about him needing companionship.....when I think of companionship I think of sharing common interests....having something to talk about, something in common. I cannot even imagine what these two talk about.....she is obviously no mental giant. I doubt it's companionship he gets out of her.

Maybe he prefers it that way. Maybe it's easier to not have a deeper emotional connection. Because there is no way on earth he has one with her.

I'm closer to Mr. Kraft's age than most of you. So all I could think was that if a friend of mine did something like this that I would sit him down and suggest that he's still going through a grieving process and shouldn't trust his judgment in all matters.

I'd say to him that there's nothing wrong with the clip in itself, but would ask, did you think about what would happen when it went public, when most people would focus on him standing awkwardly next to a hod bod in a bikini? I'd ask if he'd talked to his kids about it and whether they felt OK given the proximity of the first anniversary of Mrs. Kraft's death.

I'd also tell him to dump the dimwit and remind him that he's a billionaire who will be able to do a lot better in young girl friends when the time comes.

Man, she's almost as bad an actor as he is...looks like she thinks her bod and a rich BF will get her on a "real TV show." Who knows? It's worked before.

Yeah, I thought people who put them up were honoring Mrs. Kraft, not an appendage of her husband. I never used one and chose to honor Mrs. Kraft in my own way, but those who did have no reason to take it down now. She is still the great woman who was honored last year.

I can imagine that the thought of "replacing" Myra would probably make Kraft's stomach churn, so he's sought out a completely opposite kind of relationship. In that sense, it makes sense. Like PWP said, we just don't know how we would act in that situation, losing her like that with plenty of live left to life - and we all pray we never have to face it. I'm sure we'd all do stupid things, I just find what he's doing (dating someone less than half his age) doesn't sit perfectly well with me. The perception it casts is unfortunate. But again, most of us just don't know the grief he's facing. And we should be thankful for that.

After a day of reflection, on the video specifically, I mostly just feel bad for Kraft that it got out. I don't understand why whoever leaked it felt the need to. He is a good guy; he doesn't deserve something obviously private (and clearly proprietary to Fox for that matter, given it reveals script to an unreleased film...) and obviously awkward to be made public, especially if his intentions (helping someone he knows) were good.

Hit Deadspin about an hour ago. Their comments are actually pretty tame. More about the actual video than the fact that Kraft is apparently dating someone 40 years younger than him a year after losing his wife.

He can date whomever he wants whenever he wants to. That's a separate iisue from the video, IMO.

Here's something to think about, and it's probably a little deeper than what we would normally talk about in this forum. Perhaps RK is dealing with his own mortality now? He looks in the mirror and sees a 71 year old guy,and wonders if his time is short? Perhaps hanging around a 30-something hottie helps him feel young and virile, instead of a tired old guy?

I dunno...I don't think it's our business to tell anyone who they should or shouldn't spend time with. If having a relationship with this young woman gives the man some peace, and gives him a reason to feel good about himself as a man, I say good for him. The more I think about it, the more I think it's healthy for him to not be moping around and better to have a little spring in his step.

To be completely honest, my most cynical thought when I saw this was that there are probably a dozen or so single women in their 40's and 50's who travel in the Krafts' social circle, who have been biding their time before trying to make a move on Mr. Kraft and who are now tearing their hair out in anger and exasperation.
