But BB and even O'Brien arent afraid of Brady's status to let him know when he is wrong .Not sure how it was with marino ,I don't know. I liked it actually that O'Brien wasnt afraid to go after him.
The theory that BOB was reacting to Brady yellng at Underwood makes sense. Otherwise it didn't seem to make sense. I find it hard to believe that if Brady had just gone back to the bench anybody would have gotten in his face. He knew it was a terrible play in that situation. It also wouldn't make much sense for Brady to go after BOB for play calling there.
I know he's TFB and all but that was really something. Not really but a handful of players that can get away with yelling at a coach like that.
1) Brady needs to establish the expectations for this offense. Sometimes that requires some tough love. Considering the number of tipped interceptions and occasional lapses in receiver focus, I haven't seen the situation get out of hand.
2) While Underwood shouldn't have let the defender (hanging on to his jersey) undercut his route, Brady's outburst was misplaced aggression. He knows that he screwed up big time and left his team (particularly his D) in a tough spot. Brady was playing with house money (a FG gives the Pats a solid cushion and removes Helu from the remainder of the game) and he let his ego get ahead of his good sense.
3) Good for BOB. Brady carries the fate of the team on his shoulders, but he is a soldier...not a General. Brady needed to be snapped back to reality and getting this on video should do that nicely. Brady has said exactly the right stuff so that it doesn't become a distraction so looks like that awful pick will serve as a needed teaching moment. Better now than in 5 weeks.

Whatever. Non story. Media only cares because they got a shot of TB yelling, it happens every game.
Brady stated after the game it was his fault and he deserved it, happened before, will happen again, yadda yadda.
Terrible pass. One has to wonder if he would've put a little more zip on it had he had confidence in his reciever. Seems like he just tried to "will" it in there.
In fairness to Underwood, he was open and really had a marginal shot to break it up.

I've got no problem with the way Curran reported this, and Brady's been getting a bit too blame oriented in the post-play debriefing this year, so I'm glad it happened.

Who has Brady blamed? I only ever hear him talk about losing as a team during losses and heaping the praise onto everyone around him when he wins.
...and no, I don't think anybody would be all over the media for not reporting a non-story. I think we'd be happier.

Heated arguments happen on the sideline more than we realize. People made a big deal about a heated discussion between Belichick and McDaniels a few years back. I know that Belichick and Weis have had heated discussions.
Brady seemed to have an edge to him on the field all game. His tendency to upbraid receivers openly in recent years - a departure from earlier in his career - was in full flower as he went at Deion Branch, Aaron Hernandez and showed disgust with a BenJarvus Green-Ellis drop.
Not buying this, according to Troy Brown, Brady's been getting in recievers faces for effing up before he was even a starter.

Sitting behind the Pats D bench several years ago I witnessed Belichick losing it completely as he went off on RAC. Romeo wisely stood there and took it rather than enflaming his out of control HC. If normally stoic BB can lose it, anyone can. People are human. Even QBs.
Belichick got into it with O'Brien last year, no one made a peep about that.
Of course, it's Brady, and for whatever reason, there's a plethora of closet Brady haters in this area, who come out of the woodwork whenever any sign of adversity arrives for this team. I'm sure if Brady throws 4 TDs next week, they'll be back with their pom-poms.
As for O'Brien, I can vividly remember during TC in his first year as OC that the vets weren't really taking his tough guy act seriously. I was at a walkthru where O'Brien was chewing people out left and right and I think the players were more amused than scared. Granted, one of them was Moss. I think this heated exchange will actually help his credibility with the team for going up against its superstar.
I also think that O'Brien might feel like the third wheel to Brady/Belichick at times, to be honest. Based on watching the behind the scenes NFLN stuff, and how the Price-Underwood stuff shook out.
