This defense just took a major blow with bodden being cut n this glass man done for the season. No way they make a serious run with a bunch of scrubs playing back there, mark my words.

Really hard to see this as anything but negative.

We cut someone in Bodden who knows the system and has had some relative success within it. IR the guy that would make sense replacing him. Only to plug in a guy who was cut by the league's worst secondary and who is fairly new to the team as well and didn't have the benefit of an off season with the team.

We've all seen Molden play he isn't exactly a world beater but I'm hoping he has impressed the staff immensely to warrant such a move. Imagine if either Arrington or McCourty were to go down.

When pondering the last 24 hours of roster management the phrase "cutting off your nose to spite your face" comes to mind.

By cutting Bodden BB is assuming they get through the rest of the season w/o major injuries. Using Murphy's Law, it is now a virtual certainty that one of McCourty and Arrington will miss significant time this year.

Based on BBs track record of drafting CBs in the last few years, I can only hope he goes in another direction. Also stay away from drafting WRs. They are inept in that dept. as well.

Maybe they should release him now to save the trouble of doing it before season three. That's what we draft CB's for, right? To spend a high pick on them, have them barely play because of either injury or benching and then release them before making it to their third season. That's the pattern right?
