I don't think Santonio understands that if the defense is playing this poorly and the Patriots are still winning, what does that mean when the defense starts playing well again?

Re: S. Holmes: "Numbers speak... on how well those guys are NOT playing on their defe

Gotta luv the Border War
The gift that keeps on giving to us fans

Re: S. Holmes: "Numbers speak... on how well those guys are NOT playing on their defe

Am I only one that had to read that twice to understand what the hell he was saying? Seriously, hooked on phonics can work for you...

Re: S. Holmes: "Numbers speak... on how well those guys are NOT playing on their defe

Thank you Mr. Holmes.

Re: S. Holmes: "Numbers speak... on how well those guys are NOT playing on their defe

I laugh every time I see it though ...lol

Man I was gonna post this! I can't stand this stupid pose he does.

It was total laughter last year when they were down like 5 touchdowns in the 45-3 railing and he got a first down and did this. We were all like, "are you serious?"

Re: S. Holmes: "Numbers speak... on how well those guys are NOT playing on their defe

He's right. If anything, it will hopefully light a much needed fire under their asses and they'll not make Sanchez look like a good QB.

Re: S. Holmes: "Numbers speak... on how well those guys are NOT playing on their defe

Santonio Holmes.....is talking smack like......

With the way Holmes and co. have been playing, the Patriots won't really need a good defense to stop them.

The entire Pats team should point at the scoreboard like this at the end of the game.

Re: S. Holmes: "Numbers speak... on how well those guys are NOT playing on their defe

So Santonio has gotten tired of throwing his own teammates and coaching staff under the bus and decided to go after the Patriots.

Seriously for one of the highest paid WRs in the league playing like a scrub, he really should shut up. Wes Welker got four less yards and the same amount of TDs against Oakland (158 yards, 1 TD) as Holmes has for the entire season (162 yards, 1 TD). In fact, Welker got more yards and TDs against Buffalo (217 yards and 2 TDs) than Holmes has had the entire year. Rob Grownkowski has almost twice as many yards (296) and 4 more TDs than Holmes. Aaron Hernandez has played two less games and he has 3 more TDs and one more TD than Holmes. Deion Branch has catch one pass in the last two weeks and has 60 more yards than Holmes. The numbers speak, Holmes is NOT playing WR.

Or run back to their locker room doing this:

Ah, one can dream

P.S. Please no more Exorcist vomiting pics. Now I can't get that image out of my head. Thank you.

Pats 34, Jest 10.

BTW, I went to see where Holmes was ranked in receiving yards and receptions on NFL.com, but I couldn't find him. The I realized they only listed the top 50 receivers on the first page which eliminates him.

NFL Stats: by Player Category

BTW, he is 79th in receiving yards and tied for 75th in receptions. Not bad for the WR who at the time he signed his contract had the most guaranteed money of any WR in NFL history.

The sad thing for him. He is third on his team in receiving yards and receptions. Both Keller and Tomlinson are better in both categories. So eventhough Sanchez sucks, Holmes has been sucking worse.

Re: S. Holmes: "Numbers speak... on how well those guys are NOT playing on their defe

Never understood why fans get so worked up over these things. He's telling the truth..

Maybe because the Pats don't talk bad publicly about their opponent even if the opponents stats are bad?

Welker made a slightly masked dig at Ryan last year and BB promptly benched him for first drive.

Re: S. Holmes: "Numbers speak... on how well those guys are NOT playing on their defe

I enjoy quotes like these because they spruce up the rivalry IMO.

I absolutely agree and endorse this. Just when the Sox-Yankees rivalry has gone the way of the dodo, we thankfully have this. There's nothing like a rivalry to add to the intensity and pressure of a great football game.

Re: S. Holmes: "Numbers speak... on how well those guys are NOT playing on their defe

His numbers are down, but he hasn't been healthy, he hurt his quad after week 1, and that has limited his explosiveness.

It's been disappointing thus far, but this week is certainly a good week to get back on track.

As for the spin that Holmes has thrown his teammates under a bus?

LOL, Pats fans will reach for anything.

"It starts up front with our big guys, they need to do a better job protecting Mark (Sanchez) and Mark has to do a better job making his reads and getting the ball to playmakers," Holmes said.

"We've got to do a better job of adjusting on the fly as an offense," said Holmes, making a veiled criticism of offensive coordinator Brian Schottenheimer. "You can't be forced to continue doing the same things when those guys are doing something different. We have to open up the game plan a little bit and have a little bit more fun.

Peyton Manning said less about his o-line and has been ridiculed for years for throwing his team under the bus.
