So Santonio has gotten tired of throwing his own teammates and coaching staff under the bus and decided to go after the Patriots.
Seriously for one of the highest paid WRs in the league playing like a scrub, he really should shut up. Wes Welker got four less yards and the same amount of TDs against Oakland (158 yards, 1 TD) as Holmes has for the entire season (162 yards, 1 TD). The numbers speak, Holmes is NOT playing WR.
The entire Pats team should point at the scoreboard like this at the end of the game.
In his defense, he does not have a quarterback
Never understood why fans get so worked up over these things. He's telling the truth..
I enjoy quotes like these because they spruce up the rivalry IMO.
His numbers are down, but he hasn't been healthy, he hurt his quad after week 1, and that has limited his explosiveness.
It's been disappointing thus far, but this week is certainly a good week to get back on track.
As for the spin that Holmes has thrown his teammates under a bus?
LOL, Pats fans will reach for anything.
"It starts up front with our big guys, they need to do a better job protecting Mark (Sanchez) and Mark has to do a better job making his reads and getting the ball to playmakers," Holmes said.
"We've got to do a better job of adjusting on the fly as an offense," said Holmes, making a veiled criticism of offensive coordinator Brian Schottenheimer. "You can't be forced to continue doing the same things when those guys are doing something different. We have to open up the game plan a little bit and have a little bit more fun.
