The game we've all been waiting for! Redemption time baby!

The only redemption would be to knock their ass out of the playoffs. Of course any win over them is enjoyed, but I have my doubts about the defense. Brady has got to be lights out for that game.

If we had anything remotely resembling an average defense I'd be salivating right now. But maybe Li'l Marky will fumble a couple because of his tiny paws and tinier brain.

You watching this Ravens game? Jets D has some major issues..Brady is about to tear them a new one

agreed about the redemption part. Also it'd be pretty sweet to give them a 3 game losing streak if they don't win tonight.

How awesome would that be? :rocker:

A lot about this game will depend on the injury issues for both teams.

I believe that the Jets are playing without Mangold (just confirmed by watching).

The Pats will probably be without Mayo and Woodhead (though we've not heard anything on Woodhead).

Not having Vollmer hasn't been an issue and i think that Solder can handle what the Jets throw at him. Connolly and Waters will be the ones to watch. They did well against Kelly, but how they handle the Jets and how Connolly handles the protection calls will be critical.

I am actually not too worried if Hernandez isn't back, though I believe he will be.

I might enjoy next week now if the Jets O keep playing like the way they're playing tonight! :D

As long as haynesworth and either Bodden or Dowling are back..i will be feeling pretty good

Yeah, but lets not get too Giddy. I remember last year Sanchez was God-awful vs the Ravens in week, then he played great vs us the following week.

I can get giddy if i want. Jets are not the same this year. They are taking a step back

True, but I would say our defense has taken a step back also. Plus if you have watch football long enough you know you can't look at one game bad or good and say the team will play the same the following week. The NFL is a week to week league, and mostly based on matchups.

We are 8.5 favorite in Vegas right now. Might go up due to how the Jets are playing right now. They only have Homles to throw to. They can't stop the run. Put Ridley on them.

8.5? Way too much.....Won't be betting that line

We will be fine. I expect Brady to be looking for blood after the playoff last I'm absolutely sure we win this game with Hernandez back and with a balanced attack like we saw today. Our defense will be fine hopefully with Bodden, Dowling, and haynesworth we will be able to handle the loss of Mayo. We playing at home I know they beat us there jn the playoffs but they will be fired up let's go to 4-1

I am far from taking the Jets game for granted - the Bills were a major struggle for goodness' sake (though I admit I felt and still feel that was a game where every possible bounce went against the Pats, we still didn't have the depth to overcome it).

The Jets aren't as bad as they just played, and we aren't necessarily as good as the scoreboard today (though it was still a well-earned win).

It's interesting: Note how much momentum rides on this game:

We win, and we're 4-1 to their 2-3 with a tiebreaker in the bag against them.

We lose, and we're tied at 3-2 with us with two divisional losses putting them in the drivers' seat.

Good stuff! Exciting game next week. In many ways, it'll be a test of our D - if Mangold is still out (oh please oh please oh please) and we still can't get pressure - that's a problem. If we make Sanchez look like Henne look like Joe Montana - that's a problem.

if Haynesworth plays and it looks like Mangold is not playing i can see the pats blowing the jets out, but if theres no Haynesworth then there will be no pass rush but pats still win by a TD

Well the only thing that gives me confidence is that the Jets pass defense is outstanding. Tight ends still kill us though. But I believe that we will be able to neutralize somewhat the Pats passing attack. Defense played a hell of a job today! You guys are definitely beatable. And if you think I'm trying to convince myself of this then you might be right.

If the Pats can rush Turtlechez, they win going away...he's the most overated ,cheap imitation Tony RoeMoe I've ever seen.

There is no doubt in my mind the Jets will play better on offense next week than they did tonight. They can't really play any worse.
