Casey Hampton & Co. feels Pittsburgh was 'cheated' for team of the decade

Wow, is anybody still finding it hard to root against the Steelers in the super bowl now?

What a load of BS. If the signal stealing was such a big deal, Casey, why is it that y'all continue to get your ASS beat by the same team and same QB who supposedly had all your signals in the earlier wins? What's the excuse for the routs in 2007 and this year? What a chump, seriously. As great a player as he is, it's hard to respect anybody that can't take their losses like men, or at least man up and do something about it on the field when you face that team again. Still getting beat down by the team that can't 'cheat' anymore and whining about it. Man up, grow a pair of GONADS, and maybe at least come within single digits of beating Brady next time? Or beat him for once. And then talk.

Not to mention the fact that the Patriots did NOTHING offensively in their first AFCCG against the Steelers. They won the game on a Troy brown punt return and a punt-return TD.

On top of that, we didn't even PLAY Pittsburgh in the 2001 regular season. So where could we have stolen their signals from? Hampton comes off a total moron/sore loser here

I for one say we keep posting threads every time somebody from outside the organization brings spygate up. We should really never let it go;)

That's funny. Cuz I feel like we were cheated out of being allowed to play Chicago in 06 with the worst refing in NFL history. I also feel if the biggest hold in the history of the superbowl was called during Tyree's famous lucky catch play against the guy that was holding Seymour, the Giants were looking at 4 and 20.

Now, that's absolutely RICH !!!! For the Steelers (or their so called fans, as well) to mention anything about being "cheated" out of some innocuous title, or "spygate", is hypocrisy at its grandest level !!! Isn't this the team that was basically "handed" Super Bowl XL, against Seattle by officiating? That was an absolute disgrace on a world wide scale. Didn't one of the officials later admit a huge "bias" in the way he called the game?

Man, oh man, this is like the Captain of the Titanic criticizing another ship captain that can successfully make it through an ice field.

Spygate wasn't a factor in Pittsburgh losing those 2 AFCCGs at home..the true factor was....

Kordell Stewart<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<Tom Brady

Actually Ben Rapistberger was the QB in the second one. ;)

This basically shows how 99% of the world is ignorant to the "so called" cheating Patriots. 2007 was the FIRST year where it was illegal to videotape signals (offensive OR defensive). Repeat ! 2007 was the FIRST year where it was illegal to video tape signals. So how exactly did the Patriots cheat in the Belichick era from 2000-2006 ? People are so dumb, it's kind of sad a professional athlete has to stoop so low to feed his low self esteem. And in the case of Casey Hampton, that's a lot of feeding.

THIS JUST IN

Steelers players from the 2000-2009 teams don't much like the Patriots.

The nation is reeling in shock and surprise.

Details at 11...

:D

Ask any non-Steelers fan what the worst officiated game in the history of any sport was, and the answer will invariably come back "Steelers/Seahawks, Superbowl."

The Steelers should keep quiet...
Honestly I would say Game 6 2002 NBA WCF by a mile though there is also that USA-USSR olympic basketball match from 1972.

Worst football game that I had no rooting interest in whatsoever was definitely that 06 Super Bowl. But no way can it touch Bibby's bloody nose fouling Kobe's elbow or 3 restarts to change the outcome of a game in the final seconds.

This just in. Blaming losses on SpyGate = epic failure.

The Jordan push off....

Fourth quarter, last year, game 7, Celts Lakers.
Free throws:
LA 21
Bos 10

But it doesn't bother me.
(Lie)

Love and hate basketball, I do.
Mostly hate that it is dictated by judgement calls.

NFL seems to keep adding this kind of thing.
The fur flying around violent hits, for example,
or it seems this year, when is a catch not a catch.

Well for the previous 75 years it would have been a catch...

Does nobody else see the problem of a game being played in 2011 factoring into the team of the '00s?

Given that it ends the 2010 season, I don't see a problem.

11 years... 2000 5-11, 2002 9-7...
"went too 4 out of 6" - what?
My Bad, 9 out of 10... Since 01 we've had 1 season with less than 10 wins.

4 out of 7 Super Bowls.
01,03,04,07

Excuse the mistakes, I was heated.

Think about this...
Since 1996 The Patriots have played in 5 out of 16 super bowls = 31.25% of all Super Bowls.

Bill B has coached in 7 Super Bowls out of 46 = 15%!!!! <--- That is amazing... to say he was a coach in 15% of ALL Super Bowls <- Best Ever

Tedy Bruschi played 13 NFL Seasons, He played in 5 Super Bowls. 38% of his seasons ended with competing for a Championship. Who ELSE can claim that? ( well Adam Vinateri can + )

These kind of Stats are why the Patriots are the Team of this Decade... From 01 <-> 07 they were THE team...

Well Jordan is a whole 'nother story. The superstar system sure makes the NBA hard to watch when your team is in the dumps. And there is no accountability whatsoever for the officials in the league, everything they say is always 100% correct. In the wake of that 2002 WCF and then the Donaghy scandal its hard to believe they wouldn't institute their own little Mike Pereira style faux accountability.

Except its not, you know, in the decade. Kind of silly if the deciding game didn't even happen in the decade. By your standard, the Ravens won the last superbowl of the 90s, even though it wasn't played until 2001.
