Anyway, I just wanted to throw it out there that the launch point for this thread is wrong. What I said was, in my opinion, starting BJGE was an indication that he and Maroney are in a virtual dead heat at this point or BJGE is ahead. Taylor is their best back. Healthy until proven otherwise.
I love the passion you guys show. What's jaw-dropping, though, is the number of times one guy misconstrues what we say, sprints with it and touches off a &*$$ storm.
The fact that people believe I said anything from "Brady will miss 2009" up to "Brady's career is over" is proof of that.
Enjoy the season.

Gotta say I am a little nervous about BJGE starting tonight. He looked great last week, but the Jets kinda showed yesterday that it might have been because the Bills' run defense is horrible. He still looks too slow to me.

LT averaged 7 yards per carry, and Green averaged 5.3 against the Bills, BJGE averaged 6.1 YPC against the Bills and had less than half the carries they had, so what he did is right on part on what the Jets running game accomplished.
I liked his running in Buffalo, but I'd say the jury's out until he can do that consistently as a true NFL starter.
What's not in doubt, it seems, is there is something wrong with Maroney. Looks like a mental problem?
Only Ricky Williams can have that type of issue and still destroy defenses.
Fred Taylor made a point of coming over to him and asking him to put into print that " Ben Jarvis deserves this opportunity to be the lead back. He is a good running back. Print that. "
75-80 yards a game in this offense IMO is a good night if you break 1 or 2 you get the 100.
The offense is so much better with Law Firm than Maroney.
Maroney stunk it up this week on the Broncos, to the point where Captain Obvious Peter King even noticed it and called out Maroney on MMQB.
Meanwhile, Law Firm continues to always run north-south, consistently put the offense in 2nd and 7 or 3rd and 3 situations, as well as give the team a legitimate battering ram for the 3rd and 4th quarters.
Believe it or not, some posters had the audacity to say that the line has been blocking better in the past two games, which is why BJGE has been successful. Some just put the blinders on and continue to discount the hard work that this kid has put in to get him to this point.
Meanwhile, poor run blocking has seemed to infect the Broncos line as well. Started about two games ago.
