33 year old Kevin Faulk is getting a full ypc more.
This is a clear indication that you have no idea what you're talking about. Kevin Faulk runs out of the Draw only. IE, he always runs against nickle, and theres always a big hole in front of him.

I will say that my RB of preference is the north/south punishing runner like a Dillon or a Stephen Jackson.
He almost always has "little room" because his vision sucks. He doesn't hit the hole quick enough and it closes before he tries to get through it. That's why he's always running into the backs of the Olineman.
I think variety works in our favor. We already have a north/south runner (Taylor/Morris/BJGE), a cutback RB (Maroney), a specialist (Faulk).
I really wish BB would use BJGE every now and then to mix it up until Morris and/or Taylor comes back. BJGE is a true north/south runner, and when you mix that up with a cutback, then that disrupts the timing of the run stop on the other side.
No, he hasn't.
And he hits the hole/line with authority 1 out of 2-3 times. Most of the time, he runs into the line upright without his body leaning for yardage. He needs to learn how to get 4-5 yds consistently, which is what this offense needs.
To whoever said his numbers are better: I would rather a guy get 4 yds consistently, and have 12 yds on 3 carries, than a guy who gets no gain, 2 yds, and then 10 yds on 3 carries. Same numbers on the face, but it was gained differently. Maroney sucks.
Are people really saying he has been our best RB? Give me Morris or Taylor anyday when they are healthy. Maroney is our best healthy RB RIGHT NOW, but that's not saying much.
I hope we draft a runner on the first day during the draft...

yes, hes also our best runningback...
has been since the time hes been here
For exactly the situation we're in now; incase someone gets hurt. Then why was Fred Taylor signed...

Kevin Faulk runs out of the Draw only.
That's just not true. Faulk has carried the ball out of running formations this season. obviously the bulk of his carries are draw plays, but to say he only runs draws is flat out false.
The bottom line is... a 33 year old Faluk see/hits/explodes through holes quicker than 24 year old Tenderoney.
And another thing... if Tender would have had his shoulder drilled into the ground yesterday by Bart Scott the way Kevin did... you can bet your bottom dollar that he would have missed the next four games.

We'll see how much Bill believes in Tenderoney after next season when he holds the door open for him to GTFO of Foxboro. And that's only if he can't get a decent draft pick for him in the off-season. The only reason he is putting it on the o-line, is that he wants to salvage the little value this kid might have left.
100% 1st round bust. He looks like Edgerin James, after got old.
Bottom line is that you don't know wtf you are talking about. Faulk runs MOSTLY on draws. Probably 90-95% of his plays. Faulk doesn't hit the holes any faster than Maroney does. This is just a outright fabrication on your part.
Again, you ignore the fact that BB caled out the O-line for their grossly inconsistent run blocking with Maroney on the field. Do you honestly believe that BB would have done that if he felt that MARONEY was the primary problem? No. He wouldn't have.
BTW, Faulk's "explosiveness" resulted in 4 carries for 8 yards yesterday.. This is just ONE example of how numbers can be misleading..
Also, Faulk has not lined up in a formation that has had less than 3 WRs in it. So, that automatically puts the defense back on its heels expecting the pass.
Don't believe me? Go look at his splits on ESPN.
