Not just talking about the losses to the Colts and the Super Bowl. But, how often do we feel safe when we have a small lead late in the game. I think we all sweat it.
We just lost a tight close game where we went toe to toe with the best team in the NFL. Colts were favored by 3 and won by 1. Patriots outplayed the Colts. If you think the Patriots are chokers, you can jump off the band wagon.
I wish I could argue with you, but it does seem like in tight games the O or D does often let them down - especially against quality opponents. Anyhoo, I used to feel more confident in tight games, not that that's worth much. Actually I used to feel like any game the Pats were winning was a "W". No more. Maybe next year we'll feel like that again.
I'm babbling.
I feel the Pats did choke this one away and that there's no way this team lost this game 5 years ago.

Exactly what I mean, I remember we used to be unbeatable with a second half lead, even when we had banged-up defenses. Lately I haven't even wanted to watch the last few drives in a game when its tight. And you can almost predict how these games are going to end. Like, I knew Tommy was going to throw a pick in the second half on a deep pass that he maybe shouldn't have thrown because I've seen him do it so many time before. Worst part is that it always seems to be on first downs.
Defensive playmakers always used to bail them out. Now, with no playmakers on D, it's all on Brady. BB put it on him to win the game and he and Faulk couldn't make the play.
it is 4AM.... I am still jacked up on adrenaline/ caffeine. I cannot sleep.
Why do you think that is? Poor play calling? Poor decisions made by Brady? Not having faith in the new guys on the team? It has been bothering me as well that when it comes down to these situations we cannot pull the win or the 1st down or the TD when needed. One will never know what BB thinks and I still have all the respect in the world for him. Just wondering why this seems to happen.
