What we learned after Sunday...

LMAO. Have you even been watching your own team's games? The Wildcat got COMPLETELY shut down in the second half against the Saints. Then, again, COMPLETELY shut down in the entire game against the Jets. This was the same Jets team that didn't have Kris Jenkins in either.
Completely shut down in the first half. It didn't even see the field in the 2nd! And our offense was not the problem in the Saints game. Abandoning the run in the 2nd half and the defense was the problem. We also thrashed the Jets in the first game with the Wildcat. You guys have a weak rushing defense, the Jets have a good one. We'll see what happens Sunday.

The Bills shouldn't have even been in the position to win that game or run the clock out. It's funny that nobody seems to acknowledge that (probably because it's just not convenient). You should remember there were two REALLY iffy penalties that extended drives during that game... the second of which went for 7 points.
If you want to start throwing out Ref excuses then we should have won the Saints game. 2 huge blown calls that would have resulted in a touchdown being taken away from the Saints and points on the board for Miami. Ticky tack pass interference calls. Whatever man, every team gets screwed by the Refs at some point in the season. If anything, the Patriots get the benefits of the calls with Baby Brady's rules.

LOL. So because our offense didn't step on the field in the 3rd quarter, we get faulted? Henne stepped up and got us a TD when we needed it. That was in the third quarter. The fumble you guys got would have been on a drive where the Bills would have ran out the clock and won the game. Not even close to being the same. Nice try though.

Look, I'm not saying the fins are the better team. But you guys lost to the Jets and still claim our 2 wins against them are meaningless. So why couldn't you guys take care of Sanchez in his 2nd NFL start?

This tripe from someone whose team won because the opposing idiot coach kept trying for 2 point conversions WAY too early in the game. Along with your sci-fi alternate universe reasoning, had Tubby had the sense of a gerbil and kicked the point afters, all the Jets woulda needed was a FG at the end to tie.

As to Sanchez in game 2, ship happens. Sometimes a team beats another team, it happens. I even remember a Wildmeowser team beating the Pats early last season.

It's always funny when teams think that the only thing the Dolphins do is the Wildcat. Less than 20% of our plays will come out of this formation unless it's trouncing you. Something I'm sure you guys remember.

What about your "extremely lucky" win against the Bills? The Jets beat you guys outright. There was no foul play involved in that game. You guys got beat. You guys should have started out the year 0-2. I see you guys with 1 impressive win against the Ravens, that's about it. Obviously you have better passing attack, but your defense is ranked 15th against the rush. You may know that the wildcat is going to be used, but it's a whole different animal actually stopping it. No one has really stopped it completely, except for yesterday against the Jets but part of that can be attributed to the offense not even seeing the field in the 2nd half until a few minutes into the 4th.

And you should be 2-5. We can play this what if game over and over again. The fact of the matter is the Pats did beat the Bills and are 5-2. The fact of the matter is the Dolphins are 3-4.

If the Pats have one impressive win, it is one more than the Dolphins have who have yet to beat a team over .500. The Falcons are 4-2 and could be 5-2 after tonight (and if they are, they will be the first team to beat the Saints) and the Pats beat them by 16 points.

The Pats had a worse defense last year and were able to stop the Wildcat when they weren't blindsided by it. Besides, the Dolphins have a problem in that their pass defense is weak and has gotten burnt several times by teams with the ability to score quickly (the Saints, Colts, Chargers). Even against the Jets yesterday, they made Mark Sanchez look like Brady in the fourth quarter eventhough he has been struggling for the last month.

I think the Pats match up pretty well against the Dolphins. The Dolphins cannot score a lot of points on offense and their defense cannot play four quarters. Even when they can dominate time of possession, they have let QBs carve up their defense in the second half of games. They haven't pressured many QBs on a consistent basis which we all know if you give Brady time, he will do a lot of damage. I think the Pats will win this weekend.

Blown calls are a lot more ridiculous to throw out then ridiculous penalties that WERE called. Vince Wilfork with a "Brady Rule" on Trent Edwards... that was above the waist? Are you serious with that? Then, after that, AD gets called for "slamming" Trent Edwards. Wow. He can't win. Gets Eli in the grasp in the Super Bowl, expects the whistle, let's go and let's Manning throw the miracle pass. So then, when he gets the QB in the grasp again and doesn't hear the whistle this time, he brings him down but now gets the penalty called on him because Edwards was still struggling to get out and Thomas had to finish the play. That should have never been called. If it wasn't, the Bills see 4th down and have to punt. That TD pass never happens.

As it turns out, the football gods (if there were any) agreed and gave us an extension. If the Bills were such the better team that day, they should have been able to stop two TD passes within five minutes of one another.

So you want to count the records not as they were when the game was played, but as they are after? We beat the Jets twice with a winning record.

We are 3-1 with Henne at the helm.

Yeah. I remember all of the idiot Dolphin fans pinching their nipples in ecstacy over a win in which they faced a quarterback that had one start since high school and used a gimmick that was never seen before to Jap Attack the other team. Yes, we all remember how pathetic it was seeing Dolphin fans celebrate as if they had just won the Super Bowl after that. Remind us all what happened the second time around when your team couldn't pull a new gimmick out of it's ass...

Obviously the Fins have more flaws than New England, never denied that.

Phantom illegal shift away from being 2-5? Gotta be kidding me.. You don't watch the games, do you? And we haven't showed up in the 4th quarter? Really? Didn't watch the Jets Monday Nighter then.. No point in arguing with people that haven't even seen the games nor do they even know who we have played.

Ummm.. Ok, other than the first Jets game, the Dolphins haven't shown up in the fourth quarter. Is that better. So in six of the seven games the Dolphins have played, they haven't shown up in the fourth quarter. So obviously there is no problem there. The Dolphins show up in the 4th quarter for 1/7 of their games which is "outstanding".

As for the phantom illegal shift, that cost the Jets 2 points. That means on their final drive, they would have been down by 3 points. They got to the Miami 15 and failed. If they would have kicked a field goal in that situation and took it to overtime. So it wouldn't have been a guaranteed loss, but it could very well have been. But you can say the same thing about the Pats/Bills game.

Talk about someone who doesn't watch enough other teams. Didn't see the Dolphins play Monday night against the Colts in week 2?

With the loss of our young corner (Will Allen, 31 years of age) we became pedestrian? If anything, this guy was blowing coverage left and right this year. The problem with the Miami defense is the safeties, particularly Gibril Wilson.

The Patriots are fumble away from being 4-3 overall and 0-2 in the division. For someone talking about reality, you sure can't seem to find it. Great, you guys beat up on Tennessee and Tampa Bay. I can assure you the Dolphins are not like these teams. The losses for the Dolphins have been against the Indianapolis (game that should have been won, although I know you didn't see it obviously), Atlanta, New Orleans (who we gave the biggest run for their money so far this year), and the Chargers. Then we get to play the teams you guys beat up on. The toughest part of the schedule will be done with after this week.

Yeah, I looked at the JETS schedule while typing yours. But the toughest part of your schedule is not behind you since you face us twice and the Texans and Steelers yet, not to mention a potentially resurgent Tennessee that put 30 up against Jacksonville yesterday...

The Colts team you faced is not the most impressive undefeated team in recent memory, given their schedule and the fact they cannot run the ball and Peyton is breaking in his newest weapons. You caught NO off guard with your wildcat much like you did us last season, only when Matt Cassel was our QB. How'd that work the second time around... And Drew Brees and Tom Brady aren't Matt Cassel and we had the wildcat figured out long before it showed itself to be smoke and mirrors in last years playoffs when you at least had an experienced QB to attempt to balance it's shortcomings.

The big tuna says you are what your record says you are. For Miami that will be at best a .500 team at the half and third in their division. We overcame that kind of start to win a Superbowl...once...but then Chad Henne is no Tom Brady, either.

Go home little troll, your true colors are showing. aesop is another little aqua boy.

That's cool. The Jets got lucky when they played us as they had a fully healthy roster and Brady was in his second game back after a 16 game hiatus in the NFL. On top of that, you guys barely beat the Jets on two kickoff return TD's DESPITE the fact that they didn't have Jenkins and Washington playing. Don't get me wrong. I'm glad you did. I hate the Jets and they were #2 in the division. However, bragging about it afterward when you guys had every reason to lose that game to a very under-manned team is pretty sad if you ask me.

We scored a ****load of points in a shootout with you guys and lost with Pennington at the helm. Who do you think is going to win in a shootout, Pennington or Brady? Please..

I never once said the Dolphins are the better team or even a great team, but our losses have been very close and against far superior teams than the Pats have faced, save for Atlanta. All I'm saying is you are underrating the Dolphins and overrating the Patriots. Not surprising or unusual, just stating..

Yeah a resurgent Titans team that beat the equally ****ty Jaguars. We got the toughest part of our schedule behind us. We have a soft middle and not the toughest end besides the Steelers. I'm hardly being a troll.. if you'd like me to be, I can throw out some **** for you.

LOL We remember what happened the second time around though, too. And you keep forgetting both of those games occurred with Brady on the IR...

You caught the JETS the first time after they blew their wad in their September Meadowlands Superbowl facing a rusty Brady and NE offense featuring a converted college QB in the slot. A funny thing often happens over the course of the season on well coached teams. It's called accumulating film and scouting tendancies to refine game planning. You should know this as that's how most teams now beat the wildcat or knock down a rookie QB sensation or even de-mystify an exotic defense.

Your own coaching staff doesn't believe in Henne. That's why the wildcat was born.

Please tell me you don't think Brady was on the field for that second game...LOL

Doesn't believe in Henne? That, or they did the natural thing and let him sit behind a productive veteran for his first year? We play to our strengths. Our 2 running backs and offensive line are superb. We have no receivers for Henne to throw to. He has looked very good in his first 4 starts, putting up a 3-1 record. What do you want from the guy, Ginn can't catch the ball. After Ginn we have 2 slow white guys and a small slot guy in Bess. Not much to work with. Wait til this guy gets a #1 receiver.

Go right ahead and then Ian can re-direct you to the visitors locker room which is where we house visitors you can't have intelligent discussions...
