i have two 'best' moments:

week.1 (when the season finally start) and the first wild card game (when the real season start...)

i really love these two moments

regarding Super Bowl i start to be unhappy (because the season will be over soon and there will be so many months without the NFL...)

I, like everyone love the standard moments like the Opener, playoffs and etc. But here are my favorite non standard moments;

1) When some team goes 7 - 0 to start the season I love all the hype about how that team may go 16 - 0. They are the best thing sliced bread. And in the end they do nothing in the playoffs.

2) I like when some running back has like 450 yds rushing after 3 weeks and they project it out for 16 games and now the guy might hit the 2,000 yd mark for the season.

3) I love when they report the end is near for the Patriots because they hit a rough spot in their schedule or have some injuries.

worst moment for a real fans must be when his team starts the season 0-5 or 0-6...

in october he is allready thinking about the draft...

i do not remember something so bad since many many years...good !

Hmmm - I'd say "watching the Patriots win a Super Bowl" but that would be just too presumptuous to assume it will happen each season...

So as far as a moment that one can count on each season, I'd have to nominate the Colts finding a new and different way to choke each year.

Last year's was definately the best thus far...

....the last gasp goaline stand

...the forced fumble

...the fumble return by the guy stabbed by his wife in a domestic dispute previously with a game winning TD in sight

...only to be brought down

...followed by Manning's inability to put it in the end zone, but only inch into field goal range

...a patented Vanderjerk money in the bank signal to the Steelers, as he'd been perfect all season in the RCA dome

...followed by a choke kick that couldn't have been further off the mark

...and Manning blaming his teammates for the loss after the game

Yeah - the Colts choking is an annual tradition I look forward to each year.

It's kind of hard to define but it's something like this.

The early season games are generally not well played games. Even if the team wins, there are often stupid mistakes and big question marks. Then, if we're lucky, at some point things come together and we know: OK, this is what we've got, we're playing to our capacity and now we can get down to it. Two seasons ago it was the win at St Louis, last season the win at Pittsburgh (although that came at a terrible price).

I love seeing well played games, not ones where the least incompetent wins (you can guess how I felt about last season's Superbowl!)

one game that imho could be cancelled is the Pro Bowl...

in that moment the real season is allready finished since 1 week...

anyway week.1...i love that week...finally the best sport start again...and also it start in the right month (i like september a lot)

Week one is always great. I absolutely love 1 p.m. games with tailgating starting at 9:30 ... I'm glad the Pats have six of their eight home games at 1 o'clock. Here's hoping the league's flex scheduling doesn't interfere.

Right after the Patriots win the Super Bowl.

also for us in Europe 1 p.m. games are the best as it is 7 p.m. here (so...still good time, they finish not so late...)

in US i would love too many Patriots games at 1 pm and this year it looks good in that sense

I always liked looking for that surprise player in training camp.

Somebody that really hustles and makes the team against all odds.

ok: training camp and pre-season games are also important for the obvious reasons but the 'reality' and imho one of the best moment start beginning september; and september now is quite near...finally...

The first week obviously. That means we have an entire season of football to look forward to.

My second favorite part is the conference championship games. Those are always close, good games.

i love when the Patriots are playing in the play-offs but last year another game i was really looking for was also the Afc Wild Card between Cin and Pit (infortunately it ended soon as we know due to Carson Palmer injury) but there was a special athmosfera there...

anyway, again, week.1 has really something special
