You forgot to add the most important note :

Wes drawing the #1 CB of every team we play , lloyd is covered by #2 CB or #3 CB in nickel with the #2 guy covering hernandaz.Keep that in mind when you judge his performance. will he have the same number if say he is covered by the #1 CB of every team?.

First of all, he is a #2 WR why would he draw the #1 CB all the time. But he does get the #1 CB more than you let on. Many teams do what the Pats do and have CBs assigned to sides of the field and when Lloyd lines up on the right side of Brady he draws the #1 CB. Also, you have teams that will have a big CB as their #1 and they are sometimes likely to put him on Lloyd because big CBs struggle against Welker. Lloyd rarely draws the nickel though because doesn't run a lot of inside routes or line up inside.

Second, Lloyd is the second or third option (sometimes fourth). He caught 74 balls as a secondary option. How many balls would he catch if he was the primary. Your logic works both ways. He may look better than he is because he is drawing lesser coverage or he may look worse than he is because he isn't a primary target in this offense.

Either way, I still say he is a solid #2 WR.

Bottom line is this: He's due a $3M option bonus (probably at or around the start of the league year), plus $1.9M in salary in 2013, plus a workout bonus, for a total of about $5M in new money in 2013. Is he worth all that? I don't think he is.

LLoyd played plenty of games against no1 CB, at times Welker is lined up against linebackers...
Two years ago Lloyd jumped over dbs and made great catches deep, can't really say we gave him many chances this year to do that (maybe because he can't) but most likely because we never give WRs a chance to make a play against good coverage.

"Yards after catch.....playoffs: Lloyd"

is like saying

"Weight loss.....by running: Rosie O'Donnell"

What is the league avg for #1s or #2s WRs?

I don't know, but Seeing as we KNOW the franchise tag price (WW = $9.8M); I think a $5M price tag for a 2nd tier aint that bad and it could be easily spread out-lowered with an extension.

I would love to see him complemented with a tall, burner, cheap-draft pick, WR. Maybe there is a megatron playing for the Oxford University American-football team we can draft?

Well, failing that solution; I think we still have to concentrate the low-round draft picks on the DL, S, LBs and OL and take a few more shots at finding a sleeper wr. It's a risk; of repeating the same failing, but I bet BB will do his usual THROW EVERYTHING AT THE WALL AND SEE WHAT STICKS and bring in a few FAs who will challenge as well.

The last thing I would say in Defense of Lloyd...... Can you imagine if we had done Lloyd instead of OCHO. just saying; I think that SB would be different. And Lloyd is cheaper than Ocho was especially considering now is a time with a higher overall cap.
