Xs and Os: adding a deep-threat WR to the "new" offense

I like Free Agents for that reason as well, but there's also Sidney Rice and Steve Smith.

Add Rice to the list as well, but I was projecting him as a Restricted FA if the rules stay somewhat similar in the new CBA.

I love Steve Smith but we already have Welker and Branch, who are similar more slot types of WR's. I'm looking for more of a bigger guy that can get off press coverage well, get deep, and go over the middle as well. That's why I'd love to add a guy like V-Jax, Rice, Green, or Julio Jones. I just think going after V-Jax makes the most sense because Green and Jones will both likely go top 15 if their pre-draft process goes well, and Rice will likely be tendered at the 1st and 3rd level (if rules stay the same).

I know there has been talk of reducing the service time to 4 years for guys to be UFA, and if that's the case, Rice would be a valid UFA option for us.
