The Pats draft another wide receiver and a tight end in round 1?

Say:
WR
Gonzales or Meachem

TE
Olsen or Miller

If all the good defensive talent is taken it just might happen.
Pretty unlikely scenario, but how would you react?

I'm set with the roster we have now before the draft. Whoever we draft, no matter what position, is just an added bonus.

I'd love Gonzalez or Meachem. All set on TEs in round 1. I'd be ok w/ Ben Patrick in Round 3.

We Could use a wr in the first round, cuz we probably won't retain Stallworth or Washington and certainly not both.

And everyone says its so hard to learn the offense for wr's, so it could give them a year to learn a pro system.

Then in 08 we could have Chad Jackson and (Gonzalez, Meachem, or the guy I like From LSU Bowe)

I'm not sold on Gonzalez, and I really don't Like Jarret or Ted Ginn Jr.
I Think They Will Both Be Busts (Ted Ginn Jr. will be good on special teams just not as a wr)

TE I would. WR I'd just be in a Logan Mankins type state of being confused

I love my TV Wayyyyy too much! (I would kick my neighbors dog instead.) J/k!!!

I'd be delighted with Meachem. He'd be great value at 24. The others would definitely leave me muttering under my breath, though. (I like Gonzales, but I don't think he's special enough to turn away from defense in round 1.)

Classic post!

I would if we drafted Brian Leonard in the first.

The TE would be a head scratcher but WR wouldn't be a bad idea. He gets 1 year to learn and it's a slim chance Stallworth will be here after next season with the way his contract is structured. I'd want to see a LB or Safety taken with the other pick, Griffin I would like.

I think there's a very good chance Stallworth is here beyond next year. We aren't taking a WR, write it down.

Hopefully you mean just in round 1.

I fully expect this team to still draft 1 or even 2 WR's

Hopefully in a later round they draft someone like Craig Davis, Andrea Allison, Rhema McNight, or David Ball. Before NE picked up a bunch of receivers I wanted them to take Jason Hill in the second round. I think he'd fit NE's system perfectly. Good route runner, with good hands, and big play ability.

I agree BUT we thought the same about Stovall last year and nothing.

Maybe they focus on a Ball or McKnight in later rounds because they are both system players who fit exactly what we need.

I wanted Stovall last year, but i didn't think they'd actually pick him. Jason Hill just seems like a Patriots receiver to me, and kind of reminds me of Branch, but with a better nose for the endzone. Really, Hill's who I wanted at WR, and I made four different Mocks where some of my other picks changed, but I always had NE taking him. They threw a curb ball at me by trading away that pick for Welker. I'm happy about it though, since I was all over Welker during the 2006 season. Just watching that guy made you think of him in a Patriots uniform. What makes you LOL is that he was thinking the same thing (he's wanted to play for NE for awhile).
