Well, to no one's surprise, Welker is still a beast at 32 years old. He's on pace for 100 receptions 1,110 yards and 18 TDs.

After Wes completes his two years in Denver at 6 million a year, he'll be a free agent at age 34. I doubt he would get many looks at that age, considering he barely got any at 32.

So, would you take back a 34 year old Wes as a WR3/WR4 on the cheap, or is the bridge burned like Seymour?

No thanks. One of my pet peeves in any sport is the re-treads. They moved on for a reason. Even if the bridge wasn't burned you move forward, in my opinion.

Would rather have Danny Woodhead back. Who says you can't carry, Ridley-Vereen-Woodhead?

You're telling me you can't have a package for Gronk-Dobson-Amendola-Vereen-Woodhead?

I said no cause I don't think he wants to play for the pats anymore and im pretty sure the pats don't want him anymore, and we don't know if Brady will still be playing by then or if he or BB will still be pats a lot can happen in two years, my guess is if he still wants to play he will end up with one of the good young QB's with the packers or lions or colts

I think it had more to do with money. Vereen is just the cheaper option now. Still loved Wood**** on this team; he was a gamer.

If he's still playing the way he is today, or close to it, absolutely!

My favorite guys who leave town are the ones who say "I went for the most money, but I really loved the team and only wish they'd paid me as much", and for whom the new contract is indeed their first big payday. David Givens is the poster boy for that. Tom Ashworth is another example.

Welker isn't in that tier, but he's close. He left for what he THOUGHT would be more money, then tried to come back for equal money. The only thing Welker did wrong was hire and trust an agent who misjudged the market.

We took Branch back. Don't see why not if he was available and was at a reasonable contract.

If there werent already someone here in his role, then maybe, depending on his health.

but Amendola was brought in to replace him and Edelman has performed amiably filling in when Amendola was injured. Amendola when healthy should still be a better weapon than Welker at this point in his career.

In 2016 you will still have Gronk, Amendola, Dobson and Thompkins at least. The Patriots should be all set at WR for the foreseeable future.

No. He will probably be out of the league. Nothing worse than an old, small, slow slot receiver. When they lose their quickness it ends rapidly---See Brown, Troy and Stokely, Brandon.

No thanks, didn't appreciate his primadonna-like exit, and I don't think he even wants to come back. As a matter of fact, I'd bet my balls he doesn't want to come back. Certainly not as long as BB is running the show here.

It all depends on how much he has left in the tank/cost/our other options available.

I actually typed in Woodc-o-c-k as a joke. Didn't an announcer call him that during a game?

It was Joe Theisman during a roundtable discussion.

Shocking. Glad I haven't listened to his commentary in a while. He must've been watching watching too many Billy Bob Thornton movies.

He is "my Danny Wood****" on BB's twitter parody

I defended Welker to the end after he dropped the SB winning pass that hit him in the hands. But after he did it again last year with the Ravens I said I'm done. Great player, but any receiver you have to avoid in the biggest plays that make or break champions is a guy you have to move on from.

Maybe it will change with the Broncs, I wish him luck hope he gets a ring if they don't play Pats.

Not if he helps the Forehead get another Superbowl ring..

I'm sorry. I hold grudges like that.

... but this coming from someone that was posting the idea earlier in the year that Belichick should swallow his pride and offer up a 4th round pick or so to the Broncos and get Wes back with us.
