at OT i think we need to adress LT and RT because Brown needs competition. He needs to earn the starting OT job because his performance this season in all facettes wasn't that great. I expect Harrison and Wright to beat out Brown if he does not step up his game, at least it would give us more insurance and long term starters imo. Our O-Line could suddenly become a strength if Strange also has a second year progress. I don't like the Free Agent OT much,

Pretty sure that Mock Drafts have their own thread over in the Draft section of the Board..

agreed, i wanted to use this to may start a discussion about how the pats should adress the offense line situation, i don't know which thread suits for this, we may need a 2023 team building thread including draft and Free Agent strategies with players etc.

I agree we need two OTs - no doubt. Let's hope Strange is better - it is normal for a D2 guy to jump from Y1 to Y2. If J McCourty retires we need a FS - Mills is too slow in my opinion to play the single high safety position.

i wonder if Jonathan Jones could be resigned and move to FS. He certainly has the speed and knows the defense, so calling adjustments and coordinating his teammates shouldn't be an issue.

There is a CB of Rutgers who has incredible speed , Max Melton, he may be worth a day 2 selection i don't know if he even declares, he is eligible but could play two more years of college football. He also had 3 blocked punts

J Jones is a thought at FS - I did not think about that. Kind of short, not too heavy to drop down into the box to pick up a TE. Peppers has the speed and strength, but he has been in and out this year, so I am not sure he has the vision to be a sniper (Defensive QB).

i think peppers is better suited as a box safety to cover TE/rb or stuff the run due to his physicality, i am not sure about his deep speed

Peppers is really fast for his size, that is why he was a 1st round pick. But I agree it seems like he is a box safety. The guy loves to hit, but I am not sure he knows where to play and depends on athleticism. If D McC retires we need a FS. Not sure there is a replacement on the team without robbing other areas like Duggar. JJones might work but would be limited due to small size. Not sure what BB is thinking.

Dugger? He has more speed and hits. McCourty had straight line speed but never thought he had reaction speed. Dugger seems to have it.

yeah i don't see a replacement on the team rn either, maybe JJ, i think except poyer or bates i don't see a free agent replacement either

As someone who has watched a lot of Michigan football, hard pass on DJ Turner.

If you want a DB from that team, go with Mike Sainristil (has a lot of Jonathan/Marcus Jones in him, former WR who converted to DB).
