I just thought that I'd summarize below. None of free agents have announced that they have a deal with another team. We are $9,556,603 UNDER the cap.

McCOURTY - re-signed
GOSTKOWKSI - signed franchise tag, so he is under contract
REVIS - the team will not pick up his bonus and are negotiating with him
BROWNER - is being allowed to discuss his worth with other teams
WILFORK - cut, but could be re-signed
VEREEN
RIDLEY
CONNOLLY
AYERS
BRANCH
CASILLAS
WHITE
AIKEN
AMENDOLA - no action, but the team has talked to agents of lots of WR's, could be cut this week

$9.5 under the cap? You said 10 earlier - is this including the 500k for the new #51 on the roster?

Past midnight. NFL GMs scrambling for bargains.

MG... Amendola doesn't really belong on this list. He's under contract and not a free agent. I take your point that they may target him as a way to re-coup some cap space, but that's the situation for any number of players on the roster who you haven't listed.

Maybe start a second list of guys under contract with ripe cap numbers... you could put Amendola on the top of that list. Arrington, Wendell, Dennard, Hooman...all equally viable targets for an unsolicited cutback. Arbitrarily picking Danny out of that group is just feeding the unsubstantiated rumor mill.

Lighten up Mazz. You forgot to mention mayo

I'm certainly hoping to get #24 back. However, if we don't there's a lot of ways for the $10M to be spend, I would love to get, in no particular order, Rubin, Sheard, Andre Johnson. I do like Helu, who has been mentioned, but it would kind of show that James White has been a disappointment. I also like Shorts if we can't get Johnson.

Same story, different year......there will always be players that are favorites that are released as they sign New faces. There will be a player or two released where fans say what the F. I wonder if there will be a trade that comes out of the blue?

Like everyone else, I hope Revis is a fixture in the defense for a few more years.

If im understanding what Howe and Holley said on the radio its that Browner is probably going to get an extension and not be allowed a trade. They dont want him to come to camp unhappy so they offer him a new deal with guranteed money to lessen his hit this year and have a happy Browner who might have felt slighted with all the big money deals being thrown around to corners so far.

Bob Kraft is too busy selling seats to his new on the field lounge to re-sign his best defensive player.

Serious question: why do you post here?

Cutting Wendell would really hurt - for what he's paid and for how he played last year (not even considering his ability to back up Stork in a split-second), the guy is a steal.

Name any owner that has been more successful in their tenure of ownership?

2000-2014 = 15 seasons, 4 rings, 6 SB appearances, 9 AFCG appearances, 12 playoff appearances. There's a lot to complain about.

As a fan for more than 54 years, I like to express my opinions even though they are contrary. I was
there when Chuck Shonta misplayed a pass leading to a field goal and loss number one. I had season
tickets thru the Fairbank's years when a ticket cost $5. I cheered for the Patriots when they were
terrible and not the latest fashion. I will drive two hours and be up in section 333 in the rain, snow,
and cold for the fourth year in a row. I will also support the 1000 poor slobs who had to move their
seats to accommodate Mr. Kraft's on the field lounge. My wife says you're full of bull if you don't
think I'm a dyed in the wool fan.

Yeah, not my point. If you're just going to criticize and wallow in misery, then what's your point? Go outside, enjoy the summer-like temps.

I have zero doubt that Belichick and co. are doing whatever it takes to bring back Revis, WITHIN REASON. They will/have offered him a FAIR and REASONABLE deal that will give Revis lots of dough but not so much that it cripples the Patriots.

It's all in Revis' hands now. Does he want lots of cash and be on a winning team with a good organization? Or does he want to be on a losing team with a poor organization that offers him more money than the Pats? The ball is in his court. The Pats can only do so much without causing cap problems. If Revis leaves for more cash then that is on him- not the Pats, Belichick or Bob Kraft.
