Troy Brown is very likely to set the all-time franchise receiving record next Sunday.

Well, it would deprive him of a great thrill if he set the record in a LOSS.

That mustn't be allowed to happen.

Good luck, Troy. I hope they stop play and present you with the game ball.

Last night Burton interviewed Troy on 5th Quarter. Snappy suit worn by the now Tuesday radio talk show host. Burton asked him about being on the verge. Said when it happens, and Troy corrected him to if it happens and persisted on seeing it as an if because things can happen in a season, what matters is they win. But you could tell he is quietly about to bust. Talked about how he had two receptions in his first season and none in his second, yet here we are 14 years later talking about franchise records.

And the best part is he's not just hanging around on a minmum deal - starting 4 of 7 games and he already has three TD's and 15 of his 19 receptions have resulted in first downs. He really gave this all new WR corps a leg to stand on in transition. Not to mention his continued ability to fill the gap when sorely needed to in the secondary. He really is the poster boy for what this team is all about.

Like I keep saying time and again, Troy is the best. Some of u may say that when you think of the Patriots you think of #12, however troy is the epitome of what this team is constantly trying to accomplish every year.

I too hope they stop the game, even if it is for a brienf moment, and pay tribute to what Troy has done for this team over the years, should he break the record.

NBC must be licking their lips for Sunday to come. Hopefully, it'll be a great game!!

Harumph, we know Troy can do this for himself. He's not that far removed from doing a real life version of Brownfan80's UPS advertising idea.
