I'll give you the first 10, and the Pats' picks.

1. IND: Andrew Luck, QB, Stanford
2. STL: Matt Kalil, OT, USC
3. WAS: Robert Griffin*, QB, Baylor
4. CLE: Matt Barkley*, QB, USC
5. ARI: Zach Brown, OLB, North Carolina
6. JAX: Justin Blackmon*, WR, Oklahoma State
7. CAR: Dre Kirkpatrick*, CB, Alabama
8. MIN: Jonathan Martin*, OT, Stanford
9. KC: Landry Jones*, QB, Oklahoma
10. MIA: Trent Richardson*, RB, Alabama

And for the NEP:

27. New England Patriots (from New Orleans). Luke Kuechly*, LB, Boston College

The Patriots must upgrade their pass rush, and Kuechly is a versatile, athletic linebacker who can pressure quarterbacks.

28. Baltimore Ravens. Manti Te'o*, LB, Notre Dame

Ray Lewis is 36 and doesn’t have many seasons left. At 6-1, 255, Te'o has similar size to Lewis and also plays with excellent passion and intensity.

29. New England Patriots. Shaun Prater, CB, Iowa

The Patriots have been trying to piece together a secondary this season, so the chance to add Prater makes too much sense. He is athletic and smart and comes highly recommended by Bill Belichick's friend, Kirk Ferentz.

I'm convinced that Russ Lande has no idea what he's talking about. Those descriptions did nothing to change my mind.

Dear God. No thank you on Prater, unless it is in the 3rd round or later.

First, his mock. He way over-rates the North Carolina guys. Does he know Zach Brown got benched last weed and only played special teams? Discipliniary issue. Coples is sliding. Paige-Moss not even in first 2 rounds. Dwight Jones no. Too many wr's Criner and Fuller won't go in the first either. Where the hell is Mo Claiborne? He's better than Kirkpatrick. Not enough DL in his draft. No way in hell do rb's Doug Martin and Montee Ball go in the first. Hell, Mark Ingram barely snuck into the first last year and he was much better than those guys. Onto the Pats. I love Kuechly. Especially, if we stick with the 4-3. Put him in the middle and keep Spikes/Fletcher around for depth. Give me Vinny Curry or Courtney Upshaw at 1b and I'm happy. Pretty poor effort on his behalf.

I'm starting to think this Kuechly kid can do no wrong. He's a play maker and he's got sick tackle numbers like Chris Spielman. He's got a knack for diagnosing plays and making tackles. If he fell to 27 I'd have no problem at all snatching him up. Reminds me of a lot of nfl players from the past. Give BB a player who can tackle the way this guy does and you've drafted yourself a winner.

Good call.

Kuechly is a FORCE.

I like Kuechley, but the only spot in the base defense for a 237 pound linebacker is Mayo's.

He's 6-3 237, I think he could add another 13 pounds over a couple of seasons. Spikes is 6-2 250. Ninkovich is 6-2 255.

Future is unclear regarding the resigning of some of these linebackers so I don't see it out of the realm of possibility that they would draft him if he was there. It's apparent that Spikes is "immature" to say the least and a liability health wise.

We're dreaming if we think he's going to be there at 27 anyway.

I would take Te'o, then Kuechly two spots later.

Then our depth chart would look something like this in the front seven...

DE/OLB - Ninkovich, Anderson
SLB - Te'o, Guyton
MLB - Spikes, Fletcher
WLB - Mayo, Kuechly
DT - Love, Deaderick
NT - Wilfork, Cohen, Brace
DE - Carter, Cunningham

... which is starting to feel respectable.

AGGRESSIVE...DUDE!! :rocker:

Guys, Pats need a stud SAFETY and young DE depth. Not more LB and CB's.
