I would think $5M, same as Gould.

Just shy of $6M, because it's 120% of his salary from last year (the 20% doesn't apply to the workout bonus, but it does to everything else).

Flowers and Mount Brown will be off the Market within days once FA starts. So with the crazy $$$$$$s that will be thrown around that will two sue fire Third Round Comp picks again.

Looks like an indicator that Flowers wants too much money to me.

Fun fact Flowers almost had Four SB rings being in the league four years.

I figured NE would tag and trade, but a 3rd round compensatory pick aint too bad if that works out.

Given how the league office treats the patriots, it was always extremely unlikely that the patriots would choose to openly violate the rule against franchising with the intent to trade.

Everyone is aware of the rule. PHI clearly could have adopted this approach, but did not.

That's not quite what the rule says:

A Club extending a Required Tender must, for so long as that Tender is extended, have a good faith intention to employ the player receiving the Tender at the Tender compensation level during the upcoming season. It shall be deemed to be a violation of this provision if, while the tender is outstanding, a Club insists that such a player agree to a Player Contract at a compensation level during the upcoming season below that of the Required Tender amount. The foregoing shall not affect any rights that a Club may have under the Player Contract or this Agreement, including but not limited to the right to terminate the contract, renegotiate the contract, or to trade the player if such termination, renegotiation, or trade is otherwise permitted by the Player Contract or this Agreement.

If the Patriots chose not to pursue tag-and-trade, it was because the tag would have eaten up most of their cap space.
