How is it that the patriots have so many key players that have what is perceived to be "below value" contracts:
Brady
Gronk
Blount
Edelman
Hogan
Butler (rookie contract)
Hightower (rookie contact)
And so forth.
I am not trying to make this into a Jamie Collins/chandler jones thread. If the patriots think that the deals they are seeking are not worth it for the player, I'm fine with it, so be it.
But how do we have so many players get paid below what their value is worth, and we are still always strapped to cap?
How is it that teams like Denver can go on a defensive free agent spending frenzy? How come Seattle can afford to keep all their defensive players (all their D players get paid very well)
I am just venting. End rant
