At least 3 of the games Penny has pitched this year he has appeard to be pissed and rattled after Lugo blew a play at SS.

If does not take a lip reader to see the four letter words coming out of
Penny's mouth after Lugo blows play after play.

I have heard the media say that they are friends because they both played
in LA together.

If Lugo is Penny's friend, I would hate to be his enemy.

There is no way in HELL Penny gets released. He might get traded for a bag of balls, but hes not getting released.


He's pretty much an average 5th starter, and hes been significantly better his last handful of starts. Thats worth something. Theres a lot of teams out there where Penny would be their 3rd starter.

Penny won't get released. He's been as good as could ever be expected. The guys splits for his career are brutal if you're not an NL team with a favorable pitchers park for a home. At any rate, he's signed for 1 year, he throws hard, he's had success in his career, and therefore, he has value on the market. He's not going to fetch you a primetime prospect, but he's got some worth. He could net an mlb player, a B level prospect, or maybe some low A ball guy that could be a prospect 3-4 years from now.
