I wish the Boston Police Department would enforce the anti-groping statutes equally. Whatever Julian Edelman was doing Monday night clearly deserved a few hours in the hoosegow, public ridicule and a thorough investigation. But at least Edelman was groping on his own time in a private establishment.
Ochocinco, on the other hand, is doing his groping on national television in front of millions of people. Worse, he's doing it during the few precious snaps that the rarely seen Patriots offense gets after the defense permits the opponent to grind out endless drives that result in field goals or touchdowns.
Ochocinco is groping to figure out the offense on our time and in utter disregard for his teammates on the offense. Tom Brady and his buddies just want to get on with gashing the opposition without worrying about whether Ochocinco is going to run the wrong route, stumble trying to get off the line of scrimmage or get flagged for a false start.
C'mon Mr. Mayor, let's crack down on these scofflaws equally.
