Why is it Brady destroys Pittsburgh?

They give pretty much everyone else trouble during their days of being a top tier team with **** LeBeau but Brady tears them up almost every time (usually with Polamalu running around aimless like a fool) and Pittsburgh never seems to adjust. During that same time frame we've seen Baltimore give him some trouble, the Jets and Dolphins and the Giants... but Pittsburgh only twice in 14 years. Curious to hear some x's and o's experts give an opinion on why Brady seems to do so well.

Attack defenses have to get to the qb. They leave holes if they don't get to the qb. You just can't blitz Brady. He will shred you. You have to disguise coverages and get pressure with 3-4 guys coming from different areas. Confuses the OL more than Brady. But, Balt and Rex basically do that against us.

Brady is the best in the business at pre-snap reads and getting the ball out of his hands quickly. The Pats have also generally had good OL's to give him more time if needed. This formula results in the Steelers getting shredded time and again. In 2011, they beat the Patriots by finally adjusting their scheme. They played a lot more press man and disguised well which threw off the Patriots offense until pretty much the 4th quarter, when it was too late.

Yeah I heard they went man in that game. Was at boot camp for that one was shocked when I heard the score. Wonder why they went back to zone in 2013.

They probably figured the Pats prepared for the Steelers to switch things up and went back to what they were most comfortable doing.

By the way i have always thought Polamalu was way over rated. For every play he made there was another where, as you say, he was running in the wrong direction.

well, I think for one thing steelers d was kind of predicated on getting pressure from olb + pats did good job of scheming those guys into coverage

Not only is it picking apart zones but Brady always took advantage of Polamalu freelancing and making him bite on fakes leaving a big hole somewhere else.

Pit plays mostly cover 2 now under their new d coordinator, according to my buddy that's a fan. Should be even easier for Brady.

Definitely, Polamalu was really good but, you never see Reed completely left out of a play looking like an idiot.
