Maye looks like the real deal. Wish the team had done more to help him. we have nearly 37 million in cap space left over this year. That could have been used to help... either the line, wide receivers, a third down back or even on the defensive side of the ball... one or two players could have made a difference,

Teams without QBs don't do well in the NFL. You need a half decent QB. That's axiomatic.

Until a team gets that QB, it's re4ally hard to judge the coaches and many of the players.

There was nothing in this year’s free agency, it was a bunch of overpriced jags. I wanted Wilkins and Barkley, but after that it sucked. This team is in rebuild mode, they needed to get a franchise QB to start to build around.

The fact that the Patriots sifted through the dumpster for their free agents? (They did)
The fact that they could have done better than Okorafor, Osborn and Takitaki? (They could have signed none of them and it would have been a net positive)

Hey they could have gotten Kirk Cousins for 180 million. Or how about Robert Hunt for 100 million, what a great deal. Or Calvin Ridley and his 12 catches and 183 yards for 92 million (patsfans really nailed this one). Or how about Jonathan Greenard for 76 million? What a market, what great free agent buys.

Diggs was a trade, from what I understand Barkley always wanted to play in Pennsylvania, as he was a PSU grad, but ibwouldnhavrnlovefbtobgrt him. RB is one of the Best Buy’s in free agency, WR is the worst, they are grossly overpaid. I would stay away from WR completely in free agency, and take one or two every year in the draft. If they are able to address LT in free agency this offseason, which is a big if, they should have a shot at either Tetairoa MacMillan or Travis Hunter, either of which would be a huge addition to their receiving corps. And unlike many here I’m not giving up on their young receivers. Both Polk and Baker could end up being good players, and Boutte is starting to show that he can contribute as well. Things could end up looking very different at this time next year, and they could end up with a really good young receiving corps of Douglas, Boutte, Polk, Baker, and possibly Hunter or MacMillan. Wishful thinking, maybe, but it’s way too early to be quitting on these guys.
