It it ever comes to someone defending a player by pointing out all the nice things that have been said about that player - you are probably talking about a bad player.

If the NFL was a beauty contest people would only talk about Tebow's "great personality".

Ummm, no. The year 2000 was the start of the 21st century. The 20th century ended on Dec. 31st, 1999 at the stroke of midnight.

Thanks for playing though.

Incorrect and no it did not. The 21st century began on January 1, 2001.

Demosthenes, you have been completely pummeled in this thread and I am embarrassed for you.

The fact that you did not know when the 21st Century began and then tried to call out a poster who was correct about it is even more embarrassing.

Get your head out of Tim Tebows rear. He is even embarrassed for you and you probably stalk him anyway - When you are not in front of your TT shine in your basement.

Tom Brady QB #4 circa 2000 says hello

Might want to drop this line of thought until you understand how teams build positional depth.

No he doesn't.

First of all 2000 was last century as I already stated. Secondly Brady was not a viable QB prospect until his second training camp in 2001, so saying that they were "developing him" before then is a huge stretch of the truth.... And thirdly, the Patriots certainly were not a win now team in 1999/2000 like they are today. They were a team in a decline for many reasons and hadn't hit bottom yet.

This team at this point in time is not in the business of signing a guy to the roster just to "sit and learn". And I'd say neither are most teams that have an open window for a championship.

Simple question. What year did the 1990's decade start ?

Demo- who cares? This thread is about Tebow and how much he sucks or is apparently "misunderstood". I do admire your loyalty which was on full display at the JetsInsider forum last year.

Are you a Gators fan? How long have you worshipped, er I mean been a fan of Tebow?

Simple question. What year did the 1990's decade start ?

"The Nineties" started in 1990. The "2000's" started in 2000. But the 21st century started on January 1, 2001.

Simple question. What year did the 1990's decade start ?

Talking centuries not decades.

Simple question. Was there a year zero? Simple answer - no there wasn't. The 21 century started 1/1/2001. The year 2000 was the last year of the 20th century. Take a few minutes away from defending Tebow's honor and look it up.

Demos - is there a reason why you argue about everything and why, even on a point like when the 21st century started, you think you are always right and no one else that you think doesn't like Tim Tebow is wrong?

Here are a couple of sources for you on when the 21st century began:

When did the twenty first century start

When Did the 21 Century Start - Ask.com

"The 21st century is the current century of the Christian Era or Common Era in accordance with the Gregorian calendar. It began on January 1, 2001 and will end on December 31, 2100."

BTW - you need to watch Seinfeld. A little laughter does the body good. That or go do something outside of the keyboard....

This is getting way off topic, but, the start of the century is a topic still under debate across the globe. Looking at the question that I asked, the 1990's started in 1990 of course. That decade went from 1990 to 1999. Why in the world would you break a decade up and try to claim that 9/10's of the decade was in one century, but that one other year of that decade is in another century ?

A bunch of like-minded people saying the same thing does not equal pummeling. It's pathetic when people try to declare some type of internet victory and start begging the other side to quit.

I do believe he made an error about the beginning of the 21st century, but that alone does not call into question his football commentary. It seems like you are using a totally unrelated error to negate all his comments.

Anyways, back to bashing each other over the QB3...

I've looked it up many times and I fully understand the points on both sides. I know that there's no year 0 in the Gregorian calendar. I, and many others, don't see the reasoning behind carrying that flaw over through the years.

Belichick, being argumentative runs in my family. Must be some gene or something. That said, it's one of the main ways that I learn. I'm not afraid of stating an opinion or belief and backing it up. IF someone demonstrates that I'm wrong, so be it. I would have learned something new that day.

Thanks, I've read them a number of times. Do have to catch that Seinfeld episode some time. Actually, might be a good idea to finally get around to watching any full episode of Seinfeld.

Awesome. Instead of a debate about Football players we have a debate about time tracking semantics.

And thank you for adding nothing once again. You just cant keep away can you.

Then again, there have been many coaches/analysts who have gone on record as saying that Tebow possesses a very good Football IQ.
Maybe he does, it's great that he's awesome in the classroom problem is none of his alleged football iq translates to the field. The dirt can't be a viable #1 receiving threat for a nfl QB.

His accuracy is severely lacking and his decision making on the field is pathetic. If his name was anything other then tebow he would have been laughed out of the nfl after his second year. There's way too much wrong to even bother trying to fix. I'd rather have coaches waste time trying to win vs. trying to fix the most broken qb in the game.

Wish he'd just shut up and give FB a shot, he might do decent there especially as he's always a threat to pass (or his interpretation of a pass at least)

Anyways, getting back on track. This was the statement that SB1 put forth:

But I'm saying this team this century has never been in the business of just signing a player simply to "learn and develop", they would rather get someone who could help the team win TODAY

And his escape from Brady being an example of him being wrong is that Brady was in the last century.

That might just be the plan...I cool with it as long as we are not wasting roster spots. If he can act like a pseudo FB that could potentially be a throwing threat...it could work. But again roster spot, roster spot, roster spot.

Maybe its worth dedicating a roster spot for this. I dont know.
