Pennington to start the season, Clemmons by the close

Pennington or Ramsey to start the season. Clemens to finish it. 2007 starter will be Clemens and he will do well.

Should have added 6th and 7th options:

All of the above
Does it really matter?

If Clemmons is nearly as promising as he is now being hyped, it will be his team by 2007. Not sure it will still be Mangini's by 2008 though if he is not.

Mangini will be given the time he needs to reconstruct Herm Edwards' mess.

What he said. Clemens is apparently highly rated.

I'm not making any long term predictions on Clemens - though I do think the Jets made a good pick with him in the 2nd round -

But my response basically comes down to the fact that regardless of how well or poorly Pennington does, I don't think the Jets are a contender - and it makes sense for the Jets to see what they have in Clemens by letting him start towards the end of the season - especially if the games don't matter.

Yeah I can agree with that. I think they will see 3 differnt starters this whole season. I think they should give the ball to Ramsey to start the year though. Then when he gets hurt or stinks it up, which ever comes first, put in Pennington. Then when week 10 rolls around and they are 2-8, give it to the rookie.

Herms mess got the Jets one game from the AFC Championship game. Mangini will be lucky to sniff .500 his entire tenure as the Jets Head Coach.
