A bunch of nutty stats we're putting up. One good, overlooked, one is that we've outscored our opponents by 100 points; in 2004 we outscored our opponents by 110 points ALL SEASON.

But the amazing one for me is :

We have scored in 35 straight quarters. Since not scoring in the first quarter against Jacksonville on December 16 we've scored in every quarter, the equivalent of nearly 9 games.

what do you think the record is for consective quarters scored in?

I like Moss' 4 100 yard games to start with a new team...

Moss 2 TD's in each of his last 3 games. The man is a freak.

The only stat the really matters is 3-0......... But, if your making me look further than that, I gotta say I'm kinda partial to Tom Brady's 79 completions in his first 100 pass attempts of the season.

Which is an NFL record (by 5 - help previously by Jeff George - WTF )

Point differential

Points For - 148
Points Allowed - 48

That's a 100 point differntial over 4 games.

In other words, if we spotted each opponent a 3 touchdown and 1 field goal lead in each game, we'd still be 4-0!

That's pretty impressive.

The stats look great now but what have our opponents looked like so far?

Buffalo - 1 and 3
Ny Jets - 1 and 3
Cincinnati -1 and 3
San Diego - 1 and 3

Lets actually wait until we play a team who actually shows up to play before we get a hard on about these stats albeit very good but against much inferior teams

Once the Dallas game is over if these kind of stats remain as good then I will be all giddy too - Right now the jury is still out on how good the Patriots really are - and the outcome of our Indy game would be the biggest determination of what we will be look something like in January

I am partial to the following:

#1 in NFL for Yards Gained in Offfense
#1 in NFL for Fewest Yards Allowed on Defense

that kicks ass

I'm getting tired of reading this...no the jury is not out. The pats are an elite team and will continue to play well.

No it's not.

First team ever to win it's first four all by 20+ points. Ever. (1920 doesn't count).

Would anyone have guessed before the season that Cleveland was the best team we play in our first five games?

Maybe Romeo can coach this year because Charlie is unable.

BTW - who's to say SD is no good ? The three teams they've played are 10-2 combined; take out the three wins against SD and they're 7-2 against the league. SD could still be very good even how they've played so far.

Thats true about that record and it is impressive in a sort of way,BUT still it shows our 4 opponents records as...

4 WINS - 12 LOSSES

If Indy were doing this to the bottom teams of the league right now like the Pats have done, most guys in here sure as heII would be saying no big deal they have had it easy with those lousy teams,Wait till they play us

If we had come out of the gate in week 1 thru week 4 playing Indy,Baltimore,Dallas and Pittsburgh in a row -DO you think the team would be where they are right now with those kind of dominating stats? - You can't possibly say yes-at least right now.

And I say - that's too simplistic :

NOW THAT IS A SHOCKER AND TRUE!!!

Actually they are all 1-2 (you can't count thier losses to us), Plus, SD's other two losses game from Green Bay and KC, who both just carbon copied our game plan and exploited the weaknesses we showed they had. Ditto with Buffalo's beating of the Jets.

Teams get that get exposed (blown out) by NE historically have a rough go the next few games for this very reason (see the Squealers a few years back, and the Vikes last year). Just a fact. Of those 4 teams we've beat, I bet 3 of them will be at or near 500 this year (Cin, SD and Buff are my guesses). Perhaps not world beaters, but they aren't doormats.

......... and we could have easily scored 30 more points had we needed to. Matt Cassel (the human vicory cigar) has already been trotted out in half our games. We've shut it down in ALL of our games before they ended.

The stat that amazes me most is Brady's passer rating, especially the second half rating.

Along the same lines, the 1-3 Bengals have lost to :

4-0 NE
3-1 Seattle
2-2 Cleveland

9-3 . . . taking out the wins over the Bengals, the teams the Bengals have lost to are 6-3 against "the league".

Cincy and SD's losses have come to teams that are 16-5 against the league . . . they don't look so bad now, do they ?

My favorite stat is the fact that more Jets fans are in despair right now than at any time in recent history.
