Reading more about that, BB was told Owens wasn't going to play and was thrown off when he showed up that day. I think I heard on Edelman's show.

I would've like Law and Owens healthy going at it that game.
Watching that game, I thought Philly was crazy. Asante Samuel played at least 5 yards off the ball every play. They could have thrown to Owens every down for 5+ yards, but they never exploited it enough for Pats to change the defense. I don't like Owens, but he was special in that game.

Josh Gordon when he was with the Browns in 2013 absolutely destroyed us. There may have been players with better stats but he was a man amongst boys that day.

Talib was no slouch but looked like a member of the lost tribe of Foxboro on him all day.

I don't remember stats so idk but I remember being furiuos about how we couldn't stop Priest Holmes in 2002. I watched it at a bar and it was _rough_ to see how our defense had fallen off. Thankfully we bought in big Ted Washington a year later which really, really helped.

Josh Gordon going apeshit against us in what I recall as being his big debut really hurt as well.

I’d say Tony Eason….oh wait, you said of opposing teams? Imho TE WAS playing for the opposing teams at times….

Well it didn't help that he was being thrown under the bus by Hannah in the media but you know, that's only bad when Manning does it.

I’ll say the Hillis game because it was the first one to pop out when I read it.

I’m actually shocked to see he “only” had 220 yards. It felt like he had 400.

The Pats game put Hillis on the Madden cover. Lol

In terms of both single game impact and the outlier nature of the game, Nick Foles is the only answer.

However, IMO, the single greatest player performance against this team was Peyton Manning's 2nd half comeback in the 2006 AFCC game.

Great performance alright. Pumping in crowd noise as usual, phantom face guarding call which would of sealed the game. Did Peyton not drill the defender in between the shoulder blades with ball? Defender has to turn around my ass. Still almost won until Caldwell decided not to catch gimme’s.

I guess if you wanted to give the performance to an opposing player in a lopsided ref affair, than I would give it to often injured Bob Sanders who came to play for those playoffs.
Certainly not forehead, The league wanted Peyton as the posterchild so bad. Brady wasn’t good enough for them at the time.

Absolutely, Bob Sanders was the difference in that game. It didn't help that we kept killing ourselves. Defense gassed at the end.

Wes Welker playing for Miami as an emergency kicker and kick returner in 2004 was pretty special.

Von Miller, 2015 AFCCG.

I thought I read somewhere that the league already had a Peyton Manning Super Bowl 50 MVP award statement ready for the media but they had to give the award to Miller who completely dominated that game.

Wow. 18 years later, and those grapes haven’t sweetened one bit.

This fanbase just won’t give Peyton his due.

I remember watching the ‘63 AFL Championship game, we got crushed and Keith Lincoln ran wild. The Chargers were a great offensive team and Lincoln was a stud.

That was a bad playoff season cause we all rooted for the Giants back then too, and they lost the NFL Championship to da Bears 14-10.

the greatest single game performance vs the Patriots, from a slightly different point of view...

so great was this performance, it is still celebrated by all to this day...

The more I watch of Eason, the more I think....what was everybody complaining about? Dude took a beating and still seemed like he was very efficient for an 80s era quarterback. You look at some other guys from that time and Eason was really very good at protecting the ball.

Some of us have issues with him. I don't see the big deal.
He sexually assaulted a young trainer and laughed about it with pops in a book, which led to an additional settlement.
He took PEDs that he blamed on his wife when caught and then had his goons go to the source and squash the story.
He isn't disliked by me because of his games against the Pats, like some other players. He's just a ****ty person and not very likeable.
