The problem hasn't changed and that fumble could of ended the game earlier then it did, I swear on everything he better not even sniff a return during the playoffs, preferably never again. He just can't hang on and its the same kind of fumble almost every time.

You do realize that Edelman fumbled 2 plays later, right?

So not sure how you come to the conclusion that it could have ended that game earlier.

He needs to fix it no question. He's a rookie and still young and can and will learn. Just having a rough go of it right now

I'd love for him to keep returning kicks so long as he learns to hold the ball high and tight.

The dude can clearly be a dynamic returner, and it would be nice to see JE taking fewer hits per game. I am hoping he becomes the modern Kevin Faulk story as he looks like he could be fun to watch if he learns and corrects.

I'm surprised that Amendola hasn't been returning more kicks/punts this year. With all the other pieces healthy, his role on the offense isn't exactly taxing, and I remember a few years ago returning kicks seemed to keep him invigorated and involved. He may not have the home run threat that Jones has, but I recall him consistently getting us to the 35 or so.

maybe just after the sky is falling crowd stops trying to swallow their own tongues

You can teach ball security - you can't teach speed and great instincts on kick returns. I think the fumbling is fixable. He's clearly dynamic returner other than that. I hope they keep putting him back there.

It was a nice return up until he put it on the carpet. Luckily that's correctable. I say they give him another shot.

Guy makes me nervous but he is dynamic, I think it was a designed play, him and Ebner planned it like that...LMAO....oh god help me.

How impressive was Ebners reaction to the fumble. Pretty sure handed to be running full speed and dive on the ball/while securing it. Definitely some skill there.

I think the comparison is that Julian fumbles occasionally, and Jones fumbles every time.
Jones consistently put the ball on the field in preseason, and got benched for it earlier this season.
I think it should be back to Amendola. I'm sure he spent four weeks hearing he has to hang onto the football, and he didn't.

Did Jones use the Niles Crane learning method to prevent his fumbles??

What?

He said that if Seattle recovered the ball they could have put the game away earlier which is completely inaccurate because Edelman fumbled on the Pats drive that Jones setup after his return, 2 plays into it.

The only way the kid is gonna learn is by repetition. He's got serious skill, he just needs to hold onto the damn thing. I would keep him in there.

I think he might take over nickel corner towards the end of the season as well. If he develops and matures he will be a good player.

Give him time. Cyrus has something in him that could make an electric returner constantly. I bet youby next season he wilk fumble a lot less. It just takes some people more time to learn the ropes.
