I was thinking Jack wanted to try a more vertical game, throw BB a curve ball from the start. Quick slants to tall fast WRs screening the CB with their bodies, jump balls on sideline go routes, test the Ss with a skinny post. Something to loosen things up for the run game and target our defensive weakness the secondary.

I've been trying to jump ahead of DelRio's game plan. Wasn't having much luck. This sounds more promising than anything i came up with.

I don't look for the Jax O to furnish many points.

The stars are going to have to be aligned JUST SO Saturday night ... for the Jags to pull an upset.

I dont know why anyone would give this guy a hard time.
He came here and posted that the Pats are the best team he has seen in his lifetime. I think he is right, but opposing fans rarely will admit such a thing.
He just wants to talk football.

Warjag,
A few questions for you:

1) You guys run the ball reasonably well, I think worse this year than in the past (probably because of Taylors injuries) but it seems you need to run for your game plan to work. The Pat D has been the best run D in the NFL, maybe in many years the last 6 weeks. Do you feel your run game is effective enough to at least keep you in reasonable 3rd downs (assuming the Pat run D plays like it has) and can you play well on offense if it doesnt?
2) Your run D get a lot of good press, especially the DTs, but you have had some games this year where teams have run big against you. Why? It seems inconsistent. Do you stop weak teams but not strong running teams? Just bad days? Different styles of run game?
3) Similarly, you pass D is ranked highly, but that is built on some horrendous games by bad offenses. Do you think those numbers mean your pass D is a big strength, or that they are tainted by incompetant offenses?
4) 2:00 left, your D is on the field at the other teams 20, up by 4 points. Are the Patriots the last team you would want to be on the other side of the ball? If not who?
5) Same thing but its your ball on the 20, down by 4. Are the Patriots the last team you would want on the other side of the ball, or do you like your chances? Who would you least want to be facing, if not the Pats?
6) If the Jags beat the Pats, how far do you think they go?
7) If the PAts beat the Jags, how far do you think they go?

if you don't mind mr. johnson i'd like to try to answer your questions but before i do i would like to congratulate all of the pats fans on their teams success to this point, you have a class act going up there, keep it up! (starting next year!) 1.) what team doesn't need their run game to work? and yes i believe with fred being healthy and greg jones as a solid reliever we can get in some good 3rd down situations and if not then as any team who has their run game stuffed we will flounder. 2.) on D we've had some problems with discipline especially with the line, some real bonehead personal fouls at the most inopportune times have kept drives alive when they should have been killed, its gonna be one of the keys to the game to see if stroud especially can keep his cool. 3.) i see your point but i don't consider pitt, seattle and cinn to have incompetent offenses, sure you can say that pitt was without big ben but don't forget, they had homefield advantage and i would also like to point out that we were without our starting qb for 6 games and won 5 of them 4.) the pats are exactly the team i want there, why? because we're going to beat you! why would i want anyone else? lol 5.) see answer number 4 6.) they'll go all the way, the oddsmakers say its 100 to 1 they will, good chance to make a pile of money! 7.) if the pats win they go all the way, and why not? they've just beaten the best! good luck! NO INJURIES!
