What was Maroney yelling out to the fans after the TD run?

His senior year his Ole Miss Rebels went 3-9, which is like going 2-14 in the pros. However, he got selected to the All-Sec 1st team.

If his team didn't blow so hard, he probably would have been a 2nd-4th round pick.

A few things:

1) BJGE was never ranked better than a 7th round pick going into the 2008 draft. For a variety of reasons. His high number of carries. His speed (4.6), his being a poor pass-catcher,

2) BJGE did NOT get ALL-SEC 1st team honors in his senior year, 2007. He was named to the ALL-SEC 2nd team. It was 2006 that he was named to the 1st team.

All-SEC doesn't mean much when it comes to the PROs. Just like the Heisman doesn't mean much either.

He's a North/South runner that currently sits 5th on the Pats RB depth chart. He was inactive for weeks 1,3,4. In weeks 2 and 5, he was active, but didn't get a hand on the ball. The only thing he did do was get a 10 yard penalty during the Jets game when he was out on special teams coverage.

Again, if BJGE was all that, the coaches would see it in practice and he'd be getting more of a chance than he's gotten.

I fully agree.

BJGE is an example of a player who has exceeded expectations.

No. Teams have scouts- players don't drop from a 2nd round pick to undrafted simply because the team has a bad record.

That doesn't doom BJGE to suckiness or anything- he wouldn't be the first or the last player to come in and contribute despite not being drafted. We're starting 2 UDFAs right now, aren't we? But to say that he was only undrafted because his team went 3-9 just doesn't make much sense.

Ben Jarvus Green Ellis is an undrafted rookie free agent in his second year. You need injuries to happen to show undrafted talent, ex. Willie Parker

Willie Parker isn't talent.

As to needing Injuries to show undrafted talent, tell that to Gary Guyton. Tell that to Leigh Bodden.

UDFA aren't really any different than 7th round picks. They make the team and get playing time based on how good they are. Julian Edelman is a pretty good example of that. They've had 2 years to evaluate BJGE, and hes still 5th on the depth chart. That means something.

No. I base it on the 4 games where he's gotten 20+ carries and the 6 other games where he's gotten 17+ carries.

In the other 6 games, he's averaged 3.85 YPC.

.

You and your made up garbage at it again. Why do you insist on making a fool of yourself by downright LYING about what people say? I never said a damn thing about my opinion being "professional". however, you are the arrogant one who started out calling people ignorant and such...

And no where did I say or imply that Maroney is being "dissed" by BB. It's YOU who is disrespecting Maroney with all your garbage.

How the hell do you know what BB's reasoning is? You don't. Nothing like being so arrogant that you ego is bigger than the MetLife Blimp. BTW, when did you becoming clairvoyant and could tell that the Pats would lose the games by giving the ball to Maroney 20+ times? Yeah. That's what I thought. Just more made up arrogant garbage on your part.

You've made you ignorant opinion clear. You hate Maroney and your opinion isn't going to change regardless of how stupid you are. Do everyone a favor and stop posting about it.

436 rushes for 1895 yards and 13 tds + 4 years = teh suck

You wonder why BB does not have Maroney carry a lot of rushing burden especially on the road?

Here is his total rushing yardage on the road in his 4 years....

That totals on the road for 20 carries - 867 yards = average of 43.7 YPG
