What Decisions Are There On The Defensive Front?

yeah, my take on Chaison is that he will be very 1 dimensional. when on the field, I assume teams will run at him, or pass into his vacated space. he will make plays, and give up plays. my assumption, 3rd and long will be his calling card.

I agree we have grown comfortable with a read and react, bend but don't break D. wait for the opposing team to make a mistake.
with Vrabel/Williams, we will see more a more aggressive, attacking look D, with players encouraged to make plays. the flip side to that is giving up a big play.

looking forward to reading that a player "sucks" because he gave up a big play, while trying to make a big play
I am excited to see the attacking front 4-5, but I am concerned that the aggression will leave holes for opposing RBs to tun through. It will also cause a bundh of big plays: Sacks, Run Stuffs, QBs getting rid of the ball quicker than they want and hopefully ending in INTs. I am here for it, for years BBs defense drove me crazy because it seemed that they were letting things happen rather than dictating.

BB defenses were very good, but not my preferred style so please do not come and tell me "well BB defense was this or that" I know it was but does not change the fact it drove me crazy.

I assume that you are saying that because he is 245 pounds, I share the same concern. I do think that his ability to get to the QB is going to be hard to keep him off the field and I anticipate him playing quite a bit on early downs.

I'm excited to watch a more aggressive D on the regular but I also suspect there will be many moments where we mumble to ourselves something like "oh that's why Bill did it like that"

He's currently a starter opposite Landry.. vrable and Williams aren't starting anyone who can't stop the run point blank.
