What’s Left To Do?

Don't know how Moses has looked at LT in his career, but if Campbell misses time, maybe the best option will emerge as moving Moses over if Wallace/Bryant show anything. It's usually best to avoid weakening 2 sides of the line though, and I trust McD to scheme Lowe some help to the point where, if the rest of the line is performing well, we'll be ok.

Wallace would likely be the best option should Campbell miss time IMO..

I don't know if there are any short term vets out there that wouldn't hurt the long term development of our younger players.

There will still be rotation of UDFA’s and young free agents rotating in and out all through camp.

But it’s not about talent anymore, it’s about developing and refining raw talent to create a well rounded team. The talent is there.

There’s a lot left to do. Right now we have a nice collection of names. Those names need to be coached up and become a name that means something outside of hardcore Patriots fans.

As far as another vet body at LT, Although I hope Wallace shows enough this spring that he gets the job.
I am hoping he takes the RT job from Moses by the end of the year... book end tackles for the next decade sounds pretty ****ing good to me...

Agreed Wozzy anyone who gets to the NFL level has talent. Be it draft or undrafted. We now have the makings of what we haven't had in years.. a well rounded team with sufficient depth.

That would be ideally what you want. Wallace looks like he could be a steam roller at RT... .. Campbell btw..seems like he's a nasty MF.. and I love it! Some attitude back in Foxboro..

If Maye does not get injured! A horrible thought....
If that unfortunately happened.. Dobbs is serviceable to keep us afloat.. he can actually throw pass the line of scrimmage.. something Brissett couldn't do.

I'm actually ok with the OL.. this OL looks night and day different/better, from last season.

Here's the projected starters.
LT Campbell
LG Strange
C Bradbury
RG Owenu
RT Moses
I don't think it's night and day, here's my always lively perspective

LT rookie with some question marks, until he enters the field.
LG Can't count on him for a full season, sorry
C Everything i've read lets me know he kinda sucks
RG only incumbent with possible turnaround to me
RT old. Good, but old.

It's a sandcastle type of situation. Sure, it can endure wind, but splash it with force it all falls apart

No, seriously it is. Last year was worse than you may remember. I see your points.. but I'm willing to bet you Campbell is probably going to be the best OL by the seasons end. Old but good is an upgrade from suck and can't play last season.

Vrabel wants a vet at C.. however if he sucks then let's see if Wilson will be up to the task.. if not.. my guess Brown gets the nod. The tackles were the main problem last year.. upgraded at both tackle spots.

Once again, that’s why I said they need to trade for a quality back up, because right now there aren’t any available.
I don't see one any ones roster that is worth trading for.. we already did this with vederian lowe and terrance Wheatley, Calvin Anderson, we have alot of depth on the OL right now including UDFA.. someone needs to take the Job in camp.

I was one player off my prediction.

Lively?
Not sure that's the word you were looking for.
"pessimistic" perhaps?

maybe it's above irony in the dictionay i don't know

to compliment RF2 posts, last year let's call a 3 overall grade, i think we are at 6 in the OL department. Hopefully they all stay healthy

Unless an opportunity presents itself, this is what they are rolling with.

With that said, this roster is good enough to make the playoffs in a league full of pedestrian teams. The only way this team doesn't make the playoffs are injuries or a combination of Maye, the big ticket FA's, Barmore forced to retire and draft picks are busts.

We had a 3 year break from the playoffs, it's time to get back.
