All that’s true, but unfortunately the September games count as much in the standings as the November games. Would be great if they can bring back extended training camp with live tackling so teams can work on this stuff. And it’ll make a better product for the fans too.

I drfinitely agree that they count as much, my point was more that fans need to realize that their team isnt going to be playing together as a team for 3-4 weeks. Now they could still suck all year, but judging who they are in the first couple if weeks doesnt make much sense, and this seasons Patriots exemplify that dynamic.

Just keep repeating the same thing over and over - it's never coming true. Nor should it.

Good defenses mix up coverages - and must - depending on situation, personnel groupings, etc. You show ANY NFL OC the same man coverage look over and over, they will have plays to beat it.

Add in the Patriots weakness in man coverage LBs and that also mandates at least SOME zone especially in 2d and 3d down and middle/short distance.

Why do you think although we are dam good defense that we are bottom ranked in the red area? It's due to soft zone coverage.. it's fine.. it is what it is at this point!

Murray is a Bust and Ward looks like one too.

I can't imagine that Borgonzi would take a QB #1 2 years in a row. Last year was his 1st year and it would be a terrible look to take another QB, but depending on the HC it could happen I guess.

I hope we have 2 or 3 plays per game where Williams is schemed open to try the deep route. I wouldn't want them to go away from. Williams once Boutte is back.

Keep the defenses guessing . Alternate reps between Boutte and williams.

Obv they liked Ward taking him #1, but people get it wrong all the time.
Not saying they did, but they see him everyday, and if they don't see signs of improvement and think someone like Mendoza is a stud, it's better to cut bait than hang on and delay the inevitable.

Yes, it takes a QB. Burrow hasnt been officially ruled out and he and Chase have been deadly.

Now, Chase just gave NE a huge advantage.

It depends on how you evaluate them. I think most will disagree but if they grade out one of the top QB's this year as a potential franchise QB then I would do it. It adds serious competition to the position, depth if Ward gets hurt, and if he ends up being better you can still trade Ward and probably get a first rounder for him. If you suck getting QB right is all that matters, because you will continue to suck until you do get it right.

Yeah they already can stop the run so they can play that scheme. With Williams out for the next month I expect they'll change it up anyway.

Not everyone knows what they're doing with QBs.

Remember the time the Chargers traded away a QB taken in the top 33 of the previous draft because they saw the clear upgrade with a top pick (Phillip Rivers). The guy they cast aside in his 2nd season was Drew Brees. Rivers was more of the prototype, but Brees was the better QB.
