the more the Welker deal sinks in the more I like it. The buzz is that people around the NFL are laughing at us giving up a 2 for Welker. but I ask these two questions would you give up a two for a 25 year old WR coming off a 67 catch year for 687 yards? and regardless of stats would you give up a 2 for a player that seems to be such a perfect fit for your system, team, and organization?

Now couple that with Tom Brady and it is awsome.

I think you are right in alot of ways. I think his signing is a good thing. However, people have to be realistic about WHAT you are getting with Welker. He had a good year last year doing what he is best capable of...catching the dump off pass...or the 10 yarder (which is what his average basically was) and getting the first downs. Any team needs this kind of guy....however, don't expect much more from him as a receiver....or you will be disappointed.... He has only ONE TD on record for his pro career........So, I wouldn;t expect alot of TD's out of this guy..........one man's opinion
