Miller never was the most explosive running back in Alabama's room. He has the build of a bowling ball, but never drove through contact and showcased the physicality a build like his predicts.

In four seasons, Miller had 1,932 all-purpose yards at Alabama: 1,596 rushing and 336 receiving yards. He scored 15 touchdowns, eight of which came in 2024. Miller averaged 4.6 yards per rush across his career, but had a 3.9 yards-per-rush average in a 2025 season shorted by three games by an upper-body injury.

In New England, Miller joins a running back room that already includes Rhamondre Stevenson and sophomore TreVeyon Henderson. His best shot at playing time as a rookie is on special teams, provided the lead backs stay healthy, and as a seventh-round pick he's not a lock to make the team in the first place.

Alabamas run blocking last year was some of the worst I’ve ever seen (on top of bein an Illini fan, I’m also a big Bama fan) After saying that, is 4.42 speed did not show up on the field to my eyes. Was not explosive.

3rd running back is probably one of the more “open” spots on the roster if you’re sizing up the current depth chart. So kid’s got a shot to make it. We’ll see what he does with those chances.
