I’m so torn in this draft as who is the best QB,
I think once you do your due diligence you move to 1 to get your guy.
Can’t get this wrong.
Oh yes. Yes, they can get this wrong. You are "torn" simply because none of the rookie QBs in this draft promise immediate help and the Patriots offense NEEDS immediate help. That is why the team should trade down to maximize draft capital toward addressing multiple pressing needs or take someone who can make an immediate impact like Olu Fashanu.
Build the freaking offense first. Sign a transitional veteran QB and perhaps a developmental rookie quarterback prospect later in the draft. The savior you covet is nothing more than fantasy.
A cautionary tale:
Rookie QBs getting crash course in up-and-down life of NFL
NEW YORK (AP) — No one said this was going to be easy, rookie. Playing quarterback in the NFL is no simple task, and this year's class of newcomers is getting a crash course — filled with sacks, interceptions and losses — in how difficult it is to immediately succeed under center.
