Brian Flores must be smiling at all this. That team couldn’t be in worse shape

Miami was crazy for firing him after winning 8 straight. It’s pretty obvious now that the team has gotten worse every year under McDaniel that he was winning with what Flores built

Whether or not Flores was the answer in Miami. They should have known right from the start that McDaniel wasn't a head coach. The guy doesn't have the temperament for it. He is such a wet noodle that they had to know that the second things started to go bad for the team, he would lose control.

It is always a risk to have a players' coach. But to have a players' coach that doesn't command respect from the locker room is a recipe for disaster.

I mean Vrabel is a players' coach, but have no doubt that he can lay down the law if the team gets out line. I think he commands respect and he will give it back if you deserve it.

McDaniel comes off as the equipment manager when things go bad. No one is afraid of him or repercussions for stepping out of line.

What’s even more embarrassing for Miami is after firing him they made all those all in moves. So the team was actually upgraded bigtime talent wise from what flores had to work with and they still sank to the bottom

Yep, that hire was puzzling to me from the get go. his picture alone made you wonder, then he opens his mouth. He seems like a great offensive mind and should have a nice career as an assistant but taking him on as a hc was clearly a big miscalculation

McDaniel is Coach Red Beaulieu. He’s run out of ideas. I have no idea why he hasn’t been fired yet.

What happens if Tua retires? They'd still have to pay him his guaranteed money but are they off the hook on the cap?

They played pretty hard for the guy until last night...

The same deal happened to Mayo only with better results.

His foot loose and fancy free style of coaching wore out fast.

I dont know for a fact, but Flores strikes me as no nonsense like BB From what I gather about McDaniel is that he is a players coach.
