Pats survive a big-time scare vs. the Jets, now heading to London for week 8. The Sweet 16:

1. Atlanta (--) - Only unbeaten team left.

2. Houston (--) - Dominating win vs. the Ravens. Very impressive performance.

3. NY Giants (--) - Eli does it again. This team is amazing.

4. San Francisco (--) - No changes in the top 4...kind of incredible actually.

5. New England (--) - Make that no changes in the top 5. Pats could get on a roll here.

6. Chicago (+1) - This defense really does some serious damage.

7. Green Bay (+1) - Starting to roll now...they're going to be very tough.

8. Baltimore (-2) - Got shellacked by the Texans, now missing some key players. Losing their grip on the #2 seed??

9. Minnesota (+2) - Surprising team in the league at 5-2.

10. Denver (+2) - Schedule gets pretty easy from here on out.

11. Pittsburgh (N/A) - Arrives in the Sweet 16 for the first time in weeks.

12. Seattle (-3) - Good at home, bad on the road.

13. Miami (+1) - They're going to be a pain in the butt all year long, I think.

14. Arizona (-4) - I don't see them lasting long in the Sweet 16.

15. New Orleans (N/A) - At 2-4, no business being here. But they're starting to get it together, and that offense is just unbelievable.

16. Philadelphia (N/A) - Still a team with a lot of potential.

Moving up: Chi, GB, Min, Den, Mia
Moving down: Bal, Sea, Ari
Moving in: Pit, NO, Phi
Moving out: Buf, StL, Was

Atlanta loses this week at Philly

I think the TRUE best 10 teams in the league are in order...

1) Houston
2) San Francisco
3) Green Bay (has already beaten the Texans)
4) Atlanta (even if they lose, they are top quality)
5) NY Giants
6) Chicago (when Briggs and Urlacher are healthy, the Bears defense is tops)
7) New England
8) Baltimore
9) Pittsburgh
10) Philadelphia

Minnesota is a pretender and will sink soon,New Orleans and Denver are borderline.

In accord with the listings, but esp with Baltimore going down...

In weeks 11-17 they have 2 games with Pitts, one at SD, one at Wash, play Denver and the Giants, and end at Cincy. 2-5 and certainly 3-4 is not at all out of the question.

Yes, we can get the 2 seed. And play Houston down there.

Those look god to me.

Personally I would only have very minor changes: flip-flopping the Eagles and Saints; the Seahawks and Steelers; Broncos and Vikings; and Bears and Pats. Chicago's defense is solid and also opportunistic; I think their offense may have been a bit sluggish and rusty Monday coming off the bye week.

To me Houston is better than Atlanta too but it's kind of tough to not place the only undefeated team in the number one spot.
