Its crazy to me that an OT can win 3 out 4 (75%) pass rush blocks and be in the bottom tier.

Also crazy is that I see a number of players that people on this board wanted us to draft (Banks, Simmons, Fuaga, Fautanu) Not implying they are bad players just that maybe our front office knows more than we think.
Are you saying Polk is going to be an All-Pro after all our worry?

But Boney T was a BB pick, and BB can not draft. Everyone knows that.
It’s a lose lose for BB. If Thornton actually works out you can say he wasn’t a bad pick after all.

But then you can also say BB prevented him from becoming a player with his other horrible personnel and coaching hires. He was in charge of everything.

I actually think it’s a bigger indictment on BB if Thornton actually turns out ok.

I don’t think PIT is a good team & AR is a shell of the loser that he once was…. Loved regular season stats & losing in epic fashion when it counted.

PIT is the likely winner, however, as NE has struggled mightily in pass D. But if NE can sneak outta there w a win to face Carolina w the chance of taking three wins in September….

And if we know Tomlin, he won’t change it up. Terrible gameday coach who won’t adjust. “We do what we do”…..all the way to another 0.500ish season.

I don't remember the numbers, but Rogers is hardly throwing deep at all this year, which should help, and he is, understandably at his age, after a major injury, a little over-eager these days to get rid of the ball. Maybe if the db's cheat up a little, the LB's give a little extra attention to the pass, the D-line generates reasonable pressure, we could ruin Aaron's day. As I look at him, he looks like a guy ripe for that game where you say, "Yep, it's over." Add to all this that we can probably secure a pretty good t.o.p. advantage with our running game, and Drake's eemingly being now on a secure upward arc, and you probably have the makings of a win. I was optimistic about the offense going into last week's game, so I am even more optimistic about the offense this week, particularly after Miami's play against Buffalo, which might (might) suggest that in beating Miami, we beat a better team than we thought we had at the time. I know that's an iffy leap of thought, but I'm making it anyway. It's nice this year, after several years of dismal crap, to be a little optimistic without feeling you're some sort of delusional fanboy.

Agreed Rogers is firmly on the downside, but we still need to be careful. He has been quite inconsistent last year and so far this year, but he still has games when he looks like the Aaron of old. He sliced and diced us in the first game against us last year.
Mobility and extending and making plays outside of the pocket has always been a hallmark of his game, but he doesn’t move like he used to, especially after a hit. Thus why I said pass rush is huge this week. Get him off his spot and hit him, and this is a game we should win.

I guess the question this week, as it often is, is whether you can get that pressure without having to blitz so much that you compromise coverage. I agree with you that from the neck up, Rogers is as good as ever, even if from time to time he will see a few Aztec fairies flying around up above. If your coverage short to medium is sloppy, he will find your mistakes.

Really scratching my head over the " game status not listed" on nfl injury reports.
Doesn't that eliminate even having an injury report?
Why wouldn't teams just put every player
on the injury report under that status?
Somebody enlighten me

I think middle of the field is key tomorrow. Jonnu, Frier and Warren are a big part of the passing attack. We need to take away those easy completions over the middle, something we have struggled with so far. You know if Rodgers feels the heat he’s going to be looking for those 3 guys.

I believe official game status isn’t required until 4pm the day before the game.

I’m actually a bit surprised Moses is there. He’s 10000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000.0 times better then Jacobs. I’ve got no issues with Moses….leader of men.
To me that list just highlights how faulty these scoring systems are, trying to reduce a performance to 1 number. It's total bs, worthless.

He was such a good blocking back coming out, like one of if not the best in years. I think he just had a bad game. It happens, he’ll be better.
One of those holding calls against Henderson was total bs.

I thought it came out end of day yesterday?

I thought I saw we had 3 questionable including Gonzalez.
