I don't remember the numbers, but Rogers is hardly throwing deep at all this year, which should help, and he is, understandably at his age, after a major injury, a little over-eager these days to get rid of the ball. Maybe if the db's cheat up a little, the LB's give a little extra attention to the pass, the D-line generates reasonable pressure, we could ruin Aaron's day. As I look at him, he looks like a guy ripe for that game where you say, "Yep, it's over." Add to all this that we can probably secure a pretty good t.o.p. advantage with our running game, and Drake's eemingly being now on a secure upward arc, and you probably have the makings of a win. I was optimistic about the offense going into last week's game, so I am even more optimistic about the offense this week, particularly after Miami's play against Buffalo, which might (might) suggest that in beating Miami, we beat a better team than we thought we had at the time. I know that's an iffy leap of thought, but I'm making it anyway. It's nice this year, after several years of dismal crap, to be a little optimistic without feeling you're some sort of delusional fanboy.
