So far watching Barmore and Milton has been quite entertaining. Between just how good they are and not watching 2 gap it feels like one of them makes the guy blocking them look like a ***** every play. And the numbers clearly shows that's resulting in a good amount of pressure.

And I don't mean to knock 2 gap it's just by nature more reactionary and just that watching Barmore and Milton get after it in a different way then we're used to has been entertaining and add in their obvious skill and we might just be onto something.
I really hope Barmore turns into another Chris Jones.

They are down a few guys. They are also allowing 28 pts against over their last 10 games, and Watt hasn't had a sack in his last 5. Their D has been a major major problem for awhile.
I agree their D isn't elite... but that is kind of a misleading stat.

They face a lot of good Os in that stretch.. the offense often left the D on the field in in that 10 game stretch were 3 defensive scores. I think this is partly a case of bad O dragging down a pretty good D. Not that they were amazing last year either.. but not as bad this stat suggest.

That's probably next year's draft at this point.
We also need a future Number 1 WR for Maye too. We are a few players from competing for it all. We're gonna have a window.

I think we should win, and I think we will win.

What I don't know is whether my optimism is a delusion resulting from how much fun it was to watch the Miami game.

I have a feeling that at some point it will suddenly become evident that Aaron Rogers really is washed up. Maybe this is the week.
Agree with you 100%. I have this feeling Rogers was angry enough with the Jets for telling him they’d rather go with Fields that he got his head out of his butt for one last hurrah.

And I think the Jets are pretty bad this year

If you have the right QB you will always have a window. Brady won with less than great skilled guys. Allen has knocked on the door with a very average roster, Mahomes….

Can Drake be one of those types of guys?
If so, our window will be open as long as he’s our QB.

We will have a Chism sighting?
Pop has been disappointing to say the least.
Douglas is a #4 WR and is now being reps to fit that role. Williams will continue to get more reps.

Perhaps Willaims and Douglas are about equal now at #4 and #5.

How much should we expect for a #4 or #5 WR, certainly not a lot of reps in any particular game.

There is no reason to bring in Chism to replace Douglas.

That would be nice, but I think we're okay at WR at this point. Boutte, Diggs, Douglas, Williams, Chism seem like a serviceable group that we can stick with and see how they develop for the next couple years. Always wanna add talent, but we've invested a lot of resources at WR the last 5 years and I think its time to take a break from that and invest in some other spots.

I understand but Green Bay - Detroit and the Steelers; seem to do it every year. We have to make up for Polk and Baker who are missed opportunities.

Thru 2 weeks Patriots rank vs Steelers:
Pass Rush Win Rate DL: 9th VS 10
Run Stop Win Rate DL: 1st VS 18
Pass Block Win Rate OL: 25th VS 31
Run Block Win Rate OL: 11th VS 15

31st pass block win rate with Barmore and Williams chasing an old slow QB. They should be able to rush 4 and not blitz often.

On offense they should be able to run the ball.

More OL, DL,EDGE,LB,C,S. I always wanted an Ed Reed, Bob Sanders, Brian Dawkins type.

I hope it's a nice day. I'd like to see the team play on a dry field, or at least one that isn't all torn up from the night before.

All you want to see is improvement each week.
And there was nice improvement in most areas of the team which is good trajectory.

Pass D is suspect for sure (both coverage & pass rushing) - biggest area of improvement needed.
... besides ST - the kicking game (FG and kick-offs) & kick coverage.

If we can have that continuity all year and given how the 6 have played so far I think we'll all be pleasantly surprised with where we land come seasons end.

Hopefully Moses ankle can heal up for Sunday.
