TJ Watt injured. That's big. He and his brother sure are brittle.

Must not be healthy on the body to start a routine of HGH and steroids in high school.

Legal disclaimer: Allegedly

I think we have a good shot of winning if we can score more points than the Steelers.

With Watt potentially out, I think another 'log roll' TD is in the cards

I fully expect it to be Mac. He is scheduled to meet with the media later today, which is a good sign and he walked out of the stadium last night on his own. I texted a few people and although no definite answers, they thought it wasn't a severe injury and that he should be ok.
I was nervous they have something to announce when I heard he's speaking today but I think your take about it being a good sign is probably more likely.

TJ has only missed less than a handful of games in 5 years.

Might be true, but he's actually been pretty injury free.

Is Steelers a home game . If we are favored by 1 point excluding home advantage it means Steelers are favored by 2.5.

Team looks putrid. Looks like 0-4 before we face lions .

??? It means the Pats are 4 points better (I thought home field meant 3 points)

Last time the Pats beat the Steelers without Brady was in 1998. Time for Mac (hopefully) to make their fans hate him too. lol

The game could go either way.

Tribisky did not play that great yesterday and hung on for the win. The Bengals were still in it despite all the INTS. Burrow brought the Bengals back down by 14 to tie and send into OT. Jmarr Chase had another beast of a game. What a talent.

Fwiw Tj is right around the point in his career where jj’s body started to break down and miss alot of time. Jj played pretty much every game his first 5 years. Of course tj’s career could play out much different but something to ponder

Everyone is high on the Squealers right now because they beat the defending conference champs.

What I saw was one of the most laughable performances in quite some time. They won the turnover margin by FIVE and still almost lost the game. Do you know how unheard of that is??!? I literally couldn’t find an example in the NFL of a team that won the turnover margin by so much and yet came so close to losing.

If we can control our own turnover margin, it is a very winnable game.
I watched that game as it was the local game here and the Steelers didn't win as much as Cinn lost it, not challenging a TD not called in their favor, a missed XP at the end of regulation and missed FG in overtime... as ugly as they come but I still would prefer an ugly W to a good L..... and I think 5 Cinn turnovers.....

And I always thought a torn pec was a possible performance enhancement type of injury.

If the Pats are going to have any shot at being decent, this is a game they really need to win. Steelers are solid, but not some contender. If they can’t beat this team, then they probably will only pick off some bottom feeders.

Not that every injury is the same, but torn pec is what ultimately forced Mayo into retirement. If you don't come back 100% from it, it's a tough one to deal with for a guy who has to tackle a lot. But if they don't even few it as season ending, might not be as bad. Still, something in the back of my mind for him. I wish him the best, he's a great player.

I don't have any definitive thoughts on this game until we hear more about Mac. But in general, I think the defense will hold up fine against Pitt. Offense needs to finish drives and not turn the ball over. And I'd love to get Bourne back into the swing of things. Without Thornton (unproven though he is yet), he's out more explosive athlete on offense.

If we lose the turnover battle on the road 3-0, we're not beating any team. It's that simple. No turnovers.

The Steelers are not a good team. It took SIX turnovers and multiple missed kicks for them to barely beat the Bengals yesterday.

I’m confident that the Patriots win this game.

I will not brush past the fact that Bryan Flores is coaching for the Steelers and he knows how to play us.

It will be the same kind of game as with Miami.

I think it will be a competitive game. At this point, we're not good enough to look past any opponent. Losing Watt is huge, but they also are playing at home and have a good defense. Can't turn the ball over at all.

It was Cassel 2008.
